Roy is an ISO player and has the option to shoot the J or drive to the hoop most every play. What % of his shots are J's has little to do with what role he is playing, rather with his decision making (and ball handling in traffic, which has been horrid this year).

And the stat is meaningless unless you break it down to %'s with and without Miller in the starting lineup.

His assists are basically the same as last year. He has the ball less.

    What's your complaint?

Does he actually have the ball less or is he just initiating the offense less? The person that brings the ball up the court often does not make the pass that nets the assist.

The absurdity in this question is not if Roy has peaked, but the mention that the reason he may not get better is because of his "fat paycheck".

I mean really, there are players who are lazy and then there is everyone else. What has Brandon ever done to indicate that he is the type of player who would stop pushing himself to get better.

it shows that roy is playing differently than he did last season. he's taking more jumpers. last season he took the smallest % of jumpers of his career. this season so far is the highest % of jumpers he's taken in his career.

To some posters here, it means Roy is selfish for thinking he is a big key to the team winning games.

It's a lose-lose argument for Roy. Give up the ball, and still be called selfish, or dominate the ball, and be called selfish.

It's why I don't take anything seriously here. It's all entertainment at this point. I go to blazersedge for actual reasoned discussion.

    It doesn't say why, however.

no its going to the media whining about the miller signing before he got his fat paycheck, that he has not even tried to make him and miller work when he was the one that CRIED after the playoffs for a player JUST like miller...pouted till nate mcwaffle gave royboy his ball back. It is pretty clear that said roymcmuffin ball has been been countered by the league because adelman destroyed it in the playoffs.....how soon some people forgot that roy mcmuffin ball goes no where in the PLAYOFFS. Be glad apologists that roy mcmuffin ball is back!!!! Wooot! its 4 on 1 again. *dances in the street*

Unreadable. Try again if you'd like to have a legitimate conversation. Are you saying Roy was to blame for the Blazers losing to Houston last year?

Your missing some facts. Roy lead one of the youngest teams in the history of the NBA to the playoffs. He played a great series, unfortunately some other key players folded in the playoffs. Jordan, Barkley, Kobe and several others have exited the 1st round of the playoffs normally when they don't have guys around them step up their game. I was all for putting Miller in the starting lineup but not at the cost of moving our franchise/all star player out of position. This should be the complaint why didn't Nate give Miller and Roy a chance to develop chemistry in the preseason by starting them together? If Miller and Roy can't coexist then the 33rd year old Miller is the odd guy out not our franchise player.

You get so much money from the S2 advertisements that you are blind to the agenda, barfo. You are just going through the motions now.

Now? I'll have you know I've always just gone through the motions. Why, I was going through the motions when you were in training pants. I used to go through the motions uphill in the snow, er, wait, I guess I didn't actually bother doing that. But once the snow melted I went through the motions on level ground. Indoors, on the couch.
