Marc Steins latest Power rankings from ESPN has us at 9... 3 down from the Mavs.

Back to the bench for Andre Miller ... for a couple of reasons: 1. Roy's game seemed squeezed even when the Blazers' three-PG lineup went 6-0. 2. Portland's famed depth just ain't the same with Batum and Outlaw out.

Or does he see what some here see?

You really read that as a 'shot'? Really? Does the elimination of two rotation players not equate less depth to the mind of Mixum as it does the rest of the world?

Portland has played one of the easiest schedules in the league so far.

    It's not a shot.

kinda tough to argue with or depth being tested here. we are down to 11 players total.

Where's the shot? The team has beaten up the shitty teams and has lost to the good teams ... looks like a pretty fair assessment of the team's roster too.

MIXUM, you really ... oh, nevermind.

What do you mean people won't admit we've beaten "nobody?" We've beaten the Minnesota Nobodies 3 times already this season. If anything I would say we've beaten the hell out of nobody.

Hey Mixum, I've noticed you keep dodging two of my questions. Since it is Thanksgiving week and the spirit of giving is in the air, perhaps you could give me some answers. Thank you!

    1. Why do you want to trade for Rudy Gay just for the sake of making a trade?

    2. You do know defense is a part of basketball, yes?

    Thanks!

Yeah, we aren't deep anymore. Juwan's not very good to be counted on anymore every night. Luckily, we still got Roy/LA/Oden still healthy and that's all that matters. As for power rankings.. they don't mean too much to me. This isn't the BCS and college football.

    1. I want Rudy Gay because hes a scorer at a position we suck at. With the right players around him, he could develop into a very very good player. I would love to have him here. 3rd scorer problem solved. Also he can replace outlaws scoring next year when travis leaves town.
Batum backs him up. Webster would have to be invloved in the trade. Great move for us.

    2. Uh yah i understand defense however I have yet to see teh blazers stop teams that like to run. So maybe you should ask someone on the team if they understand defense smart ass cause all we have done is beat up on bad teams. lets see how we do vs the bulls.

oh and i know this will hurt but... oden will never be consistent enough or out of foul trouble enough to be that 3rd scorer.....

"#@OH! AH HA @#!#@# that mixum" sorry theres tissue in the bathroom. get it through your heads... its never gonna be oden and honestly.. LAs looking more like a 3rd option then a 2nd. Gay can score flat out. Blazers on most nights cant unless Minny is in town. Go cry now.

#9 is probably where I would put them as well. Good team, not anywhere as good as they should be.

At least the defense looks much better than last year.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Why replace Outlaw with essentially the same player in Rudy Gay only at a much higher salary? How much would you be willing to trade in return for Gay and his roughly Outlaw-level play?

    1. Rudy Gay scores by taking 16 shots a game which is more than any one on the Blazers currently. Will he score as efficiently without as many shots? Without the ability to convert fast break buckets? Do you really want another jump shooter? One that is trying to get his first big contract? How do you know Greg wont develop into a consistent scorer? Do you have a crystal ball? Is it the same one that told you we weren't going to make the playoffs last year without a move?

    2. Despite your claims that Batum offered no offense, he did offer some, and more importantly he offered pretty good defense. You seem to like to ignore positive contributions players do so I was curious if you noticed anything other than offense from the small forward position. Considering the clamoring for Rudy Gay it would appear you care very little for improving our defense.

    3. Why would I cry? My tear ducts are just fine, and I'm fine with noticing the things the Blazers need to improve on. I just don't do it in hyperbole in multiple new threads that I then rarely respond in like you do.
