That's the only way he's going to learn how to play and how to find his rhythm and confidence. Notice how the development of the youngsters happens by chance, not by design? Gee, must be the coaching right?

Not really. When he gets penetration he usually pulls up from 10-15 feet. Hes been showing off a nice floater lately though. When he does go all the way to the rack the results are quite varied. Sometimes he makes a nice finish high off the glass with some english over the big man. Sometimes he gets stuffed. Earlier on he was missing a lot of easy driving layups but hes gotten better since then.

Dude actually has some decent hops but he wasn't even really a dominating penetrator in college to obviously hes learning how to finish in the league. Seems like hes developing a very Nash-esque penetration game with a lot of pull-up mid-range J's (which are pretty much as good as layups for him), distant floaters, quick lay-ins that he gets off far before the help defense can get there. I've already noticed improvement in this aspect of his game. I doubt he'll ever be a force going to the rim like Monta but hes already learning some crafty moves to get by on the inside much like what you see from other unathletic PGs (Bibby, Nash, etc.).
