The Cincinnati-Vandy game should be a great one. Lance is gonna be on the big stage for the first time in his college career. I expect at least 15 from him, but I see Vandy eking out a win.

Colorado is looking great early against a young Gonzaga team. Usually the Zags have an experienced team but they have 9 players that haven't played D-1 ball until this year (8 frosh & 1 Soph.)

    40-27 Colorado @ Half

This tournament doesn't have any of the dominant teams you would usually see, but there is a nice combination of young teams and experienced teams. There aren't a ton of star players here that can take over like Adam Morrison, Maurice Ager, Rashad McCants, etc that we've seen in the past. But there still are guys to watch like Boldin (Zags), Stephenson (Cincy Frosh), Nic Wise (Zona), and AJ Ogilvy (Vandy).

Gonzaga was making a run but Higgins has 6 straight for Colorado. This game is starting to get going.

    52-42 Colorado 14+ min

I'll miss a majority of the Cincy game because of class, but I hope I can find a replay somewhere.

Who has class on Thanksgiving week? :biglaugh:

Zags survive a tough game from Colorado, they face the winner of Arizona/Wisconsin that will conclude the night.

Wow, Cincy-Vandy has been pretty disappointing so far in terms of basketball IQ. All I see is a bunch of athletic players outjumping each other rather than any tactical stuff.

36-27 Cincy early in the 2nd half

I used to go see the games at the Maui Invitational when I lived there. Aside from local teams (UofH), there's only the Pro Bowl, golf, and this tournament if you want to see big time sports there.

Now that the Pro Bowl gone, this really is the last primetime type event that they get besides the occasional success of one of their teams like Colt Brennan & Hawaii football few years back.

Cincy wins a game they utterly dominated. Vanderbilt played very sloppy today, and looked like nothing special outside of Ogilvy.

Maryland rolls against Chaminade to claim a spot in the semis to face Cincy.

Arizona falters after making a gutty comeback against Wisconsin, putting the Badgers into the next round to face Zags. This was a pretty whistle happy game between 2 physical defensive teams. Couple of calls were pretty ticky tacky, and it had no flow until the last few minutes. Its going to be fun watching Arizona grow up as the year goes on since they are super young.

Today there wasn't as many close games but there was still quality hoops to see.

Vanderbilt steamrolled Chaminade rather easily after a close 1st half, while Arizona duked it out with Colorado. Arizona actually blew a 8pt lead with 30 seconds left, but Nic Wise took over in OT, which was a relief. It should be interesting seeing Beal & Wise go at it for the PG match-up for the Consolation bracket.

Cincy ran away with the game against Maryland. I missed it, so I can't say much about the game itself. As for the Zags, wow. This team looks just as good as last year's team despite being a bunch of random new faces. Bouldin, Gray, & Sacre is some 3-Head monster that should carry this team to another WCC title. I believe Zags should cut down the Bearcats tomorrow to bring home some hardware.

Yeah I was really impressed with Gonzaga last night. I thought it was funny how they took shots at Austin Daye being soft and their team can play a lot more physical now.

Yeah, this Zags team looks more like the old school ones rather than recent ones that had a bunch of bigger name "stars" you could say. Gonzaga was starting to become a big player for the top recruits, but this year it seems like they went out and landed a bunch of smaller, hard workers like Olynyk, Elias Harris, and even Vilarino who Calipari let go from Gillespie's class.

Zags beat Cincy in an OT Thriller to capture the Maui Invitational.
