I just thought I should give credit when its due. Brilliant game by Greg and really the whole team played well. I think by far the best game we played all year from beginning to end. nice win against a quality team.

    some thoughts...

    - Oden DESTROYED noah. it wasn't close.

    - How Miller doesnt start is mind boggling. he played very very well. Huge Factor for us.

    - Did it really take Nate this long to figure out Cunningham is an instant upgrade over old man Howard? Really Nate... really? Its not even close. Cunningham needs work obviously but man.. that was so refreshing instead of watching Howard get abused. Kid looks like a quality player.

    - Webster is back to old self. Terrible game on offense. What would it be like to have a quality SF who can score and play defense? Will we ever know? Its the final piece to becoming elite, i can tell ya that.

    - Roy didnt play in the 4th much. Im sure a comment is coming but we played better without him. Miller finds Oden and LA. Did anyone miss the 1 on 5 isolation play? Not me.

Great game overall. Now please no letdown vs the winless Nets. That would undo all the good from tonight. I think other then Denver, Atlanta, and Houston... thats the toughest team we have played this season. I think the Spurs are old.

Surprisingly Roy still played 36min in the game, the most of anyone on the team.

I wish more then anything that Miller had Steve Blake's shooting range. I just am not sure how you space the floor unless Martell starts hitting. Roy at SF might work if Rudy is on the floor, but that leave Roy unhappy. If only we had a dead eye SF who played great defense. I know Batum needs to improve his 3pt shot, but man do I miss him. Imagine how much better we would be this year with Batum in there instead of Webster. I keep hoping Martell is turning a corner and then he doesn't.

So when we win, it's a good game and a quality win, but when we lose, it's fucking doomsday

Well, don't you have to admit that this was the most well played game of the season? Even mixum is celebrating a win for once!

The line up with Roy, Rudy, and Miller to end the 3rd and start the 4th was the best line up. But yeah they looked better without Roy. D.A

What's more impressive, the twin towers or a 99% positive post from MIXUM? Too close to call for me.

Maybe the answer to why Miller doesn't start is contained in your own post; Miller is more effective when Roy is not on the court.

Except that each were on the court together about half the time the other was on the court. There is definitely an argument for pairing him with a floor spacing "point", but if they can build off of nights like this and find ways to coexist on the court that is going to go a long ways toward making this a better team.

I don't mind that Nate has played Howard more then a more talented younger player for the start of the season. It integrates the old vet and gives him a little bit of respect among his teammates so he can fit in...it's a long season

Back when the club signed him I (like others) said dude had lost his ability to athletically compete a while ago, but I liked the signing because he'd give them a respected face for interviews... a great 15th man. Hopefully thats his role from here on out.

If a guy can't compete athletically he's got to have some great skills to make up for it. Howard never had great skills, but Cunningham clearly can compete athletically. DC seems to have enough game to average 10-15 minutes without embarrassing himself.

Mentally, Howard still has some game. He still knows some tricks the Blazer's young bigs could stand to learn. (eg throwing outlet passes and talking on defense) Pushing him into serious playing time, however, is asking too much.

I still think DC has a fairly low ceiling - but he has shown enough to earn the chance to play.
