Basically he said Andre is a ten year vet and all-star that cares more about winning than any other drama people conjure up. And that in time him and Roy will click. Just the way he said it was like "okay you've heard this random old bald guys story, now hears an actual professional basketball players prospective." Nothing against bald, old, or white people, but it was obvious who had the knowledge in the conversation.
