That is flat out untrue. Watch the third quarter of the last game against Minnesota. Blake REPEATEDLY got the ball to Oden, often two or three times in the same possession. Post, re-post, etc. Blake basically created all of Oden's offense in that game. He penetrated and dished and set up Oden so well that all Oden had to do was finish wide open dunks. It is a MYTH that Blake can't and won't feed the ball to Oden in the post. A total myth.

And Blake had 9 assists, most of them to Oden. That third quarter was a masterpiece for Blake. He repeatedly got the ball to Oden and got him going. Then he got Webster going and made sure Webster got the ball in spots where he could succeed (which shot Webster's confidence through the roof and had him play well the rest of the game). Then he got Rudy going. And finally, he turned the ball over to Roy who got himself going. And we pulled away from a game that had been too close for comfort. Unfortunately, I think most of you were watching the Ducks during that quarter.

I guess you missed the Minnesota game or you don't watch very closely.

This from Mr. Hyperbole himself? Please... What I saw and what I commented on was 100% correct, maybe you ought to pay attention more?

Defending SFs for most of the season = Roy being lazy. WTF?

    Wow, nice rebuttal.

I like how you back it up with stats, facts, and a general description of why you think Blake is not more versatile than Miller.

    Quality posting.

    Right ... uh, wait?! What?

Let me see if I can run through this. Miller was made to look good by playing with lousy players on lousy teams? Makes perfect sense. Thanks for once again illuminating us poor, dumb bastards who don't know anything about hoops.

Um....about a 1000 times better than your average post.....

Scoring, assists, rebounds, FG%, free throw attempts, getting other players involved besides Brandon Roy...I mean I could show you numbers, but I shouldn't have to b\c if you actually paid attention to such things while watching a game you could EASILY see it....

but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that some people here are clueless when it comes to basketball...

No. You're 100% wrong. Blake is the one getting easy baskets for Oden. Not Miller.

Admitting who and what you are is the first step towards healing.

    Or is that two steps?

You clearly don't watch the games. Look at the Timberwolves game. Oden hit 7 shots. FOUR OF THEM were wide open dunks set up by STEVE BLAKE. That is a fact.

See the Play by Play. You obviously missed the game. Or maybe you just cheered on Oden's dunks without actually paying attention to who set them up.

Quote below is from another board and a more TRUE observation of who Oden is benefiting most from......as someone pointed out in another thread on this board it isn't just who gets the assist that tell the FULL STORY but who is generating opportunities\touches\passing attempts....

Like I said to you before, anyone who knows a thing or two about basketball would understand this...so it is not surprising that you and "another" grossly uninformed poster do not....

    from CHI game....

LIES!!!!!! Just kidding. Yes some in this forum believe the stat sheets are the end all of what really happens in the game. Scouts watch games because they can't scout off of "Box Scores" or "Transcripts". They have to watch the game in person and see the flow of the game. When you get fouled shooting, it doesn't tell you he was fouled because Miller threaded the needle for Oden to get the ball deep in the paint. Good post and great analogy from whomever posted that in another board.

I don't understand. You say stats aren't the end all be all, yet Blaze uses his own form of stats to prove his case?

I'm pretty sure most posters here watch the games, we just have differnt opinions, that happens in sports. But for me to say Blake does get Oden the ball, I am met with no he doesn't. So the only thing left is to go to stats or say, yes he does again.
