    Article on Dante

    Liked this part:

Interesting that Outlaw and Roy are a "duo" since there was a Jason Quick article last year how it was now Aldridge, Roy, and Outlaw as the friend "trio". Wonder what happened...

Good article on Dante. And hell, it can't hurt to cozy up with the franchise player.

I can't wait to see more of Dante and see what more he can bring to the table with consistent minutes.

Soon Roy is going to be mad and pout because Dante isn't starting in front of LaMarcus, and we can all call Roy a bitch again.

I love Cunningham's game. The guy can shoot it!!! I predict he's going to be an important part of the rotation sooner rather than later.

Dante picked a bad year to be the only rookie on these road trips! He has to take EVERYBODY'S bags up to their rooms! It is classic. All the guys yell their room # to the rook on their way to the elavators!

The fact that he can catch and shoot like that (quick release, decent range) AND plays good solid defense really surprised me. Sure I watched him beat up scrubs in Summer League play (and he looked just as confident and smooth) but I was pleasantly surprised with what he was able to do while he was out there.

I don't want to turn this into an anti-Trout post, but I caught myself wondering if Dante's mix of sound fundamentals at both ends of the court makes up for Travis' dynamism as a scorer and his "lapses" in a lot of other areas on the court? Obviously the jury is still out and we need to see more solid minutes from Inferno in quite a few more games, but he's better than I thought he would be.

ABSOLUTELY. I'll take Cunningham over Outlaw every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The guy is flat-out good. He's already hitting shots like he's been in the league for several years. He seems completely calm and unflappable, and he's very strong around the boards.

He's going to make Outlaw a forgotten man very soon.

It's pretty funny. I remember ZBO yelling at LaMarcus to "go grab my bags kid!"

I really do like to see the guys as people, not just super star athletes. But I don't know if they'll get mad at you or something for it?:dunno:

Roy must have some self serving angle in all of this ... he is selfish and a prima donna after all.

Dante looks decent on the floor. I do think those 4 years in college has really helped with his patience on the court. I've noticed, on the small sample, that he doesn't rush his shot. He takes his time and makes sure his shot is in his range or in the game plan. That's really a nice thing to see. I do believe that Dante could be the replacement for Outlaw. I know Roy has a best bud in Outlaw, but remember Aldridge's best bud was Sergio. It's not like we can't deal Outlaw while his chucking ways are popular.
