The National Anthem (and not participating in it) can be a controversial subject, which is why I found the article interesting. For the record, if Roy has been doing this for 2 years and it isn't politically motivated and he performs the way he does, I don't care. But I do want to know about it and make my own decision rather than not know about it.

But clarly others have strong opinions about it, which is why i think it is an intersting topic, even if trivial . . . all of a sudden I'm in the mood for a little trivial pursuit . . . always pick the orange if you get a choice.
Re: Roy Absent during National Anthem It's odd that the Anthem is sung at most sporting events, which have little to do with any particular country anymore, but is not sung anywhere else (with minor exceptions). Without spectator sports the song would have died of mis-use decades ago.

I can't believe it's a coincidence that Roy chooses this particular moment to stand in the tunnel.

Sounds like the classic case of, "That's the way we've always done it." For that matter, Brandon may be the most patriotic person in the country..................in his own way.
