FIFA Beach World Cup '09

Anyone catch this so far? Its really interesting watching a different style of the game. Takes much more tactical talent than raw speed and conditioning.

 

There's a good summary of why the US didn't make it.

Personally, I didn't watch more than a few minutes of a Brazil match. Not so sure if I would have enjoyed it or not.

 

On what channel they have it?

 

The championship was yesterday on ESPN. You can find archive games on ESPN 360, but Brazil dominates everyone. Like, they toyed with everyone and scored at will it seemed.

Where is the US write-up btw?

Brazil are gods of football.

 

I love to play it, but I just can't watch beach football. It seems so much more... Boring?

 

I think its fast paced, small field, just exciting to watch IMO.

Lot of goals too.

 

I do like the freekicks.

 

Do you build a sand castle to put the ball on before you kick it?

 

It can be pretty fun to play or watch it. Althought I may be biased since I am brazilian.

Do they have chick matches there in brazil on the beach?

That would be something to watch

 

Never saw any official women match, but you can find some girls playing at the beach just for fun.
