Eh, it's not that. I just see a ton of hesitation out there, lack of focus. Passing from Roy when he should be shooting the shots he can and should take.... Specially the in this game, I saw a ton of shots he passed off.

That's what I meant - the consistent part that is

You just wait, someday Blake will have his own reality show. Heck, everyone else does.

Umm... exactly. Passing because he's no longer sure of his role, wondering if he should be getting it to Miller or Oden more often.

And therein lies my "boring" complaint. ;) I love watching Roy dominate, but now sometimes it seems he's just a regular player and not that All* we love, when he's hesitating..... of course the entire team does that too, and we find ourselves in a late shot-clock situation like tonight.

IDK, just some things they'll probably work on hopefully!

Early in the season, Roy dropped 42 on the Rockets but we lost. I firmly believe Roy could average 30 points a night if that is his goal. But it's not. Roy might not even make the All Star team this season and that's fine with me if we're winning. We've won 10 of our last 12. I don't care about anyone's personal stats as long as that keeps up.

Once Lawrence Frank is fired, I hope KP looks into him as a possible assistant here.

Dude is generally considered one of the best Xs and Os guy in the NBA. And his handling of Lopez so far in Brook's short career has been terrific. Right now, he's just stuck in a bad situation with injuries and less-than-mediocre talent.

What's crazy is that they have top 10 talent at PG and C.

I don't think he will take a job as an assistant. He is a great coach and if he does get fired, he should wait for another job to open up. But I hope he doesn't get fired.

I don't care about his stats, or what he could do, or about our record. lol I am not complaining here about Roy, or about the team....I <3 the team regardless.

I am saying that this game overall was boring, and it 'appeared' that people were either just going through the motions, or hesitating too much (Roy in particular) and passing when he should of been shooting. That is all, nothing more.

    Few comments:

Oden-fun to watch him play, especially when fouls aren't a big issue. I'm one of the few who likes him going into the 4th quater with only 3 fouls. Let him play uninhibited in the 4th quarter. Many think Nate should play him 35+ minutes, I don't think Oden can stay in the game that long on an average night right now (because of fouls). And if he has 4 fouls going into the 4th quarter, you know the other team is going to take it to him early in the quarter to draw that 5th.

Miller-he can play with Roy . . . can Roy play with him?

Blake-the scapegoat. So many bitching about missed free throws and not one mention of his dagger 3 point shot (how many big threes has he hit down the stretch int he 4th this year)

Roy-anyone else concerned about his body language. He is starting to mope and pout with the refs, his teammates, himself. I caught that Rudy thing . . . Roy also threw up his hads in frustration because Miller didn't get him teh ball on a fast break. I hope he doesn'[t turn into a prima donna player . . . never would think Roy would but I'm not digging his vibe on teh court these days.

Anyways, nice win. The Nets will win one of these days . . . but not against the Blazers!

I loved Dante's game tonight. Did the little things, he knows his role on offense -- whenever he pops up to the FT line, don't hesitate and just shoot it. He grabs boards and is active. Go Dante! What a nice find for a second-rounder.

I'm done complaining about any player on this team. It seems someone always different steps up for each game. And for that, it's a beautiful thing. I gotta say that I am becoming more and more impressed with Dante. I like how cool he plays. Never out of control. Not saying he's the answer, but the dude is a nice role player.

I love this team, Blake included and I suspect Miller is really accepting his role on this team. Thanks Blazers for such a high quality product. KUDOS on the win on a team trying to make a statement.

My thought on the body language: For as lowly as our opponents have been, the sheer quantity has got to be tiring. It's hard to get excited about yet another shitty opponent when you haven't had two days off since November 4th/5th, and are about to enter your third Friday/Saturday back to back in a row. Right now, Roy and the Blazers are just doin' work. Showing up, winning games, cashing checks and breaking necks. When they play Utah on the 28th and Miami on December 1st, then we'll see them perk up a bit... except that Utah's the second of a back to back and on the road. Woo.

By the way, that Utah game? Game #19 in 33 days. 13 games in the last 21 days. That's only 8 days off in three weeks. That's like a fucking retail schedule; not time to get a good rest, or get a hard practice in. This schedule's like a "Weenie Madness" green deck in Magic The Gathering. Just a lot of shitty teams piling it on until they eventually overwhelm you. No wonder Roy's energy is low; he's trying not to fall asleep!

Oh, and Dante is a billionaire's Ime Udoka... I love his game!

Yeah, but Harris has been injured and in the few games he's played (4 counting tonight), he hasn't been close to the player he was last year - or close to a top 10 PG this year.

For as productive as Lopez is, he shoots a pretty low FG% for a center (up to 0.464 after tonight).

They are a very young team that has had a brutal schedule and have been absolutely hammered by injuries. They are better than their 0-14 record indicates. They aren't a play-off team, but they sure aren't the worst team in NBA history either.

Lopez's FG% is low because Lawrence Frank is having him shoot jumpers to try and space the floor. He didn't shoot that many today, but Nets fans are complaining about him taking way too many long range jumpers.

Someone needs to find a video of Joel's block on CDR's dunk. It's appalling how much disrespect Joel gets from highlight reels.

He's no DeJuan Blair, though. Cunningham didn't dominate in college! :devilwink:
