I still say just one...thought LMA would take over a forward spot, but he has gotten off to a slow start..and Greg..give him one more year..

None at this rate. Roy seems to be in a funk, Oden doesn't play enough minutes and put up the per game numbers he needs to get in over guys like Bynum, Nene, Duncan, etc. And LMA has been solid, but nothing I would call all-star worthy.

Roy will get in as long as the Blazers have a decent seed going into the break. It doesn't matter that his numbers are down, coaches voted him in before when Deron Williams clearly had better numbers.

Roy might still get voted in by the coaches again as a reserve. He's 9th in the West in PPG(17th in the NBA) and his team is winning. Paul's been hurt, D-will hasn't been playing well, Parker's been hurt it's still anybody's game. It could happen.

If we go into the all star break with a top 2-3 record in the west, Roy will be in there. Aldridge isn't even close. 15 and 8? Nowhere near what he would need to be an all star. Oden...maybe. If Nate McMillan pulls his head out of his ass and starts playing him 35 minutes per game, he could be in there.

Roy could go either way. Right now he simply isn't taking enough shots to average All-Star type numbers. If we continue to win though, I could see him making it. I would love to see Oden get the nod though.

Maybe Roy, but only on reputation. No one on our team deserves right now.

Zero. Oden's not getting enough minutes. No one else deserves it at this point.

If we are one of the top three teams in the west, someone from our team is going.

paul/kobe/nash/billups are all ahead of roy at this point. richardson will be ahead if the suns have a significantly better record.

also durant is a lock this year, so the coaches could easily decide to take only 2 reserve guards instead of the 3 they've taken each of the last 2 years.

assuming the candidates are healthy we will need to be leading the division or have one of the top 2-3 records for roy to be seriously considered. otherwise it will be zero.

edit: (seriously) if bynum does go down oden has a real shot.

They all deserve it because they are sacrificing their personal stat lines for team success. That said-- if we're like the 6th or 7th best team in the West at the deadline, none of us will make it. There's just too much talent out there. BUT, like others have said, if we have a top 3 seed in the West, Roy is in. Oden would be a possible contender if it weren't for the fact that Bynum is statistically outplaying him. But if we have the best record in the league at the deadline......

If no one deserves it, how are we 12-5?

It's too bad Bayless doesn't get the exposure to get into the dunk contest. The dude has some serious athleticism.

    I think it's one. Roy.

Unfortunately it's a popularity contest. If Roy isn't averaging "All-Star numbers" he probably won't make the team.

I'm really hoping Oden can do it though. I think that would be a huge boost for the kid.

    Well Eric,

    1. Just because we are 12-5 doesn't mean any 1 player has posted allstar numbers.

    2. We are 12-5 because we have played one of the easiest scedules in the league.

Now let me turn this back on you. Who on our team deserves to go, and who around the league would you leave off because of them?
