There is a limit. If Greg gets 25 shots a game do you really think the Blazers are better off? Will his PER still be the best on the team? Doubtful IMO. Will LMA be happy with that?
6'3 6'5 6'8 6'9 good regular season team, but would have serious trouble with big lineups like lakers celts (maybe blazers) in playoffs.
via outright signing yes, but he can go almost anywhere he wants via sign/trade. for example next summer if lebron insisted on sign/trade with portland or walking, we likely would be able to get him without even touching the big 3 (a package like extended joel/rudy/batum/bayless/rights to claver/picks etc. would be attractive vs. getting nothing). lebron will have a lot more options than just NY, NJ, miami, OKC and it will be pretty much up to him where he goes.
I'm just wondering what those teams will have to do in order to make a max offer to LeBron. Who do they have to cut/release?
And Zach Randolph is way better than Brandon Roy. We never should've traded him. He's our solution at backup PF.
Actually, more minutes could lower his PER. Nate is in fact capturing lightning in a bottle with Oden so far, getting the most out of him in less minutes.
Yes, but in most cases it does. Given how Oden has performed, I don't think it's a stretch to think he'd produce more. Maybe less per minute production, but still, more production overall.
We wouldn't have Rudy if we still had Zach. Or more minutes could boost his per. There's only one way to find out! Maybe not more production for Oden, but this team plays better with Oden on the floor, so it could mean more production for the team as a whole.
Not to derail this topic too much, but I personally think Lebron would be best served to go play for the Nets especially with their seeming imminent move to the Bronx. He'd be surrounded by a helluva point guard in Harris, an emerging dominant low post threat in Lopez and the opportunity to live and play in the biggest media market in the world -- probably doesn't hurt that his buddy Jay-Z is part owner.
I thought about posting a much longer version of this, but I ate to much turkey and pie. Happy Thanksgiving.
I agree with this and I have thought this is what will happen for a while now. I actually hope it does.
So I guess Nate is mishandling Roy and Aldridge because they play 30+ minutes a night? Seriously, what Eric said was ridiculous.
