last nights fiasco. His hustle and effort all around was outstanding - 3 blocked shots! His shooting confidence is really increasing and he's slowly becoming more consistent. I think we can see him average 12-14 ppg as the season progresses. FG% now up to 41% and 37% from 3, I think he can get those numbers up to 45% and 40% from 3. No TO's last night is 38 minutes.
IMO we will gradually see more consistency from Webs, I think you're wrong but only time will tell. He missed a full yr and now seems to be gaining confidence, I like the development I am seeing and that he plays HARD on both sides., a refreshing thing on this team.
Is that 2 games in a row where Webster is hitting that 3? I get excited because when Webster is on, his release is quick, controlled and the ball doesn't hit the rim and the net barely moves. It is a pretty shot when he is feeling it.
I gotta give Webster some love. He has been playing pretty good overall since going back into the starting lineup. It's too bad the rest of the team didn't put out the effort he was making.
Consistancy. That's what he's missing. That's all half of these players are missing. Playing with continuous fire and hunger. Game in and game out. I can't think of too many players besides Oden who plays with continuous fire.
I agree. What is the story with Roy? He needs to take over during big runs like that and not with fade away jumpers either. He needs to get to the rack and be a coach on the floor. Since Nate couldn't read the flow of the game to save his soul, Roy needs to be the one to do that and rally the troops.
Oden has been very active this year. I think he could be a little more aggressive though. It seems like after he got dunked on against Chicago he turned his intensity up a few notches. If that's what it takes for him to get pissed, I hope he gets dunked on the first play of every game for the rest of the season.
I think Webster's play last night is a big problem. He's simply not in sync with the team. He apparently doesn't think team play is important, or he wouldn't have been making shots and blocking shots and playing hard when his teammates weren't. Does he think he's too good to suck like the rest of the team? barfo
If it wasn't for the fear of committing a foul. Oden would play with a lot more aggression. The refs really cap his aggression level.
I'm not sure why it took a 31-2 run to get him to play more aggressive but it did. He's notorious about pacing and coasting out there. And whether or not anyone wants to believe it does. I think that hurts his team.
That is definitely true on the defensive end. I was talking about on offense though. Right after he got dunked on by Noah he called for the ball and made a hook shot. His hook is falling and it isn't even that fluid yet. When he polishes his low post game he is going to be scary good. I can definitely see him putting up the 19-10 Bynum is putting up right now next year.
