I think you have to look at games versus the Broncos and the Vikings when the teams were driving, the Steelers were able to stop them because Favre and Orton had to double think about Troy being there, especially in the Denver game, look at the 2 play series, were he made a stop for a loss and then intercepted Orton. Teams don't drive on the Steelers when Troy in on the field, it's rare, when he plays this year we are 4-1, 3-0 in games he's gone the full game.

I just think you overstate it sometimes, the Bengals are decent and you lost to them twice. The Chiefs and Ravens game had much larger factors than just Troy.

Dixon handled blitzes very well. That impressed me, since rookies usually struggle against that.

I think Polamalu functioned like an "Undo" button for the defense. Some very talented defense players got used to having him erase their mistakes and making huge plays out of nothing. They need to stop underachieving and realize they don't need him to beat some of the teams they've lost to.

Where did I say the Bengals weren't good. Last second drive by the Bengals could've been stopped if we had a healthy team, we'll never know though.

Every major contender is missing pieces, including the Bengals who beat you without Benson. D-Line/Hybrid-Lbs and offensive players are the most important. I understand why you like Troy, just saying your team is good enough to not struggle like this.

He played pretty good for his first start..you can't ask for much more from a 3rd string qb. He was in an ideal situation with all those weapons. I'm pretty sure rothlisberger will be back next week tho

3rd string QB who didn't find out he was starting until Saturday. He didn't even get a week of snaps at #1. Dixon did well considering this.

you are aware that pretty much every player in the history of the NFL has sustained serious injuries right?

again could you share what you're basing this dire prediction on??? of course you being a Beaver fan has nothing to do with it (that goes without saying... obviously), I'm just still curious what you are basing it on :)

So you won't share how you formed an opinion and answer my simple politely asked question with profanity. Way to represent!

and  at you thinking that telling any poster "to shut the fuck up" would produce a desired result
