Sanchez's knee could be an issue on Thursday

With the 5-6 Jets preparing to face the 4-7 Bills on Thursday night in Toronto, there's some concern that New York quarterback Mark Sanchez might not be 100 percent, due to a knee injury.

Sanchez injured the fairly important joint on Sunday against the Panthers, grabbing at it on the ground in the way so many others who ended up with torn ACLs have done. But he re-entered the game, and the team estimated Monday that he would have practiced on a limited basis, if there had actually been practice.

Coach Rex Ryan said Monday that Sanchez has a "sore knee" and that he suffered "no major damage." But, as Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News points out, Ryan didn't say that Sanchez will definitely play.

"I know he's sore, so we'll see how that goes," Ryan said. "It's a short week . . . but he finished the game. I thought he was still moving around pretty good, so hopefully he'll be 100 percent when we play."

If Sanchez can't play, Kellen Clemens would most likely get the start.
