What's worse? Not making the playoffs at or around 41-41, or Bill Simmons being right?

No, I'm not saying he's right, or will be right, but damn we don't look any better than a .500 club right now, and I have to say that Simmons being right would sting more than not making the playoffs. That smug fucker has a national audience and he'll use it to shame the Blazers. That would be painful crow to eat for the Blazer fans that attacked him after his pre season predictions. Or for those of us that just flat out think he's an ignorant douche.

I think he can be douche-y, I think he actually knows a bit about basketball, and I think that if we're even close to .500 Simmons will be the least of my concerns.

Actually, you make a point there. I suppose if the Blazers are hovering around .500 at the end of the year, then Simmons isn't an ignorant douche. Which, in and of itself, is the most painful part. IMO. Or not. Either way, it will fucking suck. I'm getting depressed and looking for someone to unleash on. And that someone is Simmons. For now.

Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while.

But really Portland going .500 was a decent bet. I thought he would be wrong. I still think he might be.

The reasons he gave were fairly decent.

Mostly it was the team quiting on the coach.

Do the Blazers look like a team selling out for their coach right now? I would say no.

1/4 of the way through the season, and this team looks officially lost ... right now. There's still a lot of hoop left to play, but if things keep going the way they are right now I think it's entirely possible we'll have lottery balls in our future.

So ... what soft, euro will KP draft and stash this year is the real question?

If we are playing like this for any considerable length of time before the deadline I think we have got to make a trade.

Portland is now 11 quarters behind in points since our loss to Memphis. We haven't gained a quarter where we gained the opposition in points. Thats scary.
My bet, is that we will lose against Houston on Saturday. No positive thoughts. We WILL LOSE AGAIN.
