Yeah, he's always in the way. It's a shame. He's not good. Forced Roy out of his SG spot for 9 games and now Roy is mad. I blame it all on Blake.
Regardless of the arrogant as fuck tone of the original poster there is probably some truth to the team missing Outlaw. He was a big part of Nate's game plan and Nate doesn't seem to have a plan B right now. Tonight actually would have been a game Outlaw would be very helpful in. Beasely isn't a power player. Tonight he really didn't have to guard anyone. Say want you want about T-Law but he would have to be guarded on offense. I don't like Travis's game. I have never liked Travis's game. But without LMA available Travis is the best scoring forward on the team. They needed someone like that. So yes Travis was missed.
Why do so many people hate Blake here? Out of all the PG's on the your team, Blake fits best with Roy. Andre Miller and Bayless lack the shooting needed to be truly effective next to Roy. This team is somewhat poorly put together @ PG at this point with Roy. When you have a big time ballhandling wing, like a Roy or LeBron, you need a shooter @ PG for your offense to be as effective as it can be. Blake's flaw is defense, but Andre Miller has never historically made his living defensively and Nate McMillian is too stupid to realize Bayless is probably the difference in the Blazers taking that next step. I'm sure Bayless is a little rough around the edges, but he compliments Roy's playmaking skills much better than Miller AND he is more likely to make a difference on defense. A Roy/Fernandez backcourt seems like a combo that would be a good option as they would be using their 2 best guards at the same time instead of playing one out of position in order to get Miller or Blake minutes. Roy or Fernandez look adequate enough to walk the ball up the court and get this team into it's offense while utilizing the best players available.
The Blake hate makes no sense. He's sacrificed his entire game for the team this season. Sacrificed it so much, it can't be seen by the untrained eye.
That doesn't mean Travis is the reason we're losing. Could just mean they like having him around. I liked how he was playing earlier in the season, but I think what we're really missing is Batum. Webster did a pretty good job on Wade tonight, but having one of him or Roy have to guard the other team's best wing player compared to having Batum do it is ugly.
