Oden was dominant on both ends tonight. If he wasn't rebound, he was blocking shots. If he wasn't blocking shots, he was stealing the ball. If the wasn't stealing the ball, he was altering shots. Offensively, he was the only one with any pulse. I wish Roy could dominate both ends like that.
I was curious about Oden's game last night so I wandered on over to basketball-reference.com and did a quick little search with his stats and got some pretty surprising results: If you look at his game last night 13 pts, 20 rebs (11 offensive) and 4 blks its only been done 10 times since '86-87. Thats impressive. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.cgi?id=pTsjz If you add to that search that he is only 21 years old .... only one other player has done it in that time ... Shaq. Thats amazing http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.cgi?id=Z9doO
He is finally showing signs of being that "Franchise Center" we all hoped we would have. It's a great and beautiful thing.
