Did they do it against the team that has the 2nd worst defensive efficiency of all time? (or something similar to that).

All I can think is, thank god I'm not a Raptors fan ... that defense (or 'efense' if you prefer) would drive me up the fucking wall.

You should have seen the 'efense that was played on Kobe when he scored 81 points. It was kind of funny hearing all these people incredibly impressed, but never saw the game and how the more amazing thing was how pathetic the defense was.

SHIT! 81 points is 81 points! I don't care who you are playing against and at what level. Don't hate on that game, that was amazing.

Another person who never watched the game.

Probably doesn't know Kobe didn't see a single double team until he had 78 points.

Probably doesn't know that he was guarded 1 on 1 largely by Matt Bonnar who is best off defensively at PF.

Probably doesn't know Araujo who is a sack of crap was playing center.

Kobe's 63 in 3 quarters against Dallas that year is 10 times the accomplishment than his 81 against that pathetic defense.

I have the game on DVD *edited*! 81 is 81, I don't care who is guarding you. Check yourself before you come at me with bullshit.

That's... uh... crazy. 146 points in regulation? That's an embarrassment.

Then you are just *edited*, if you continue to talk smack and think the degree of difficulty of the feat doesn't matter and just statistical numbers is all that counts.

Otherwise we might as well say that since stats is all that matters, Zach Randolph is amazing with his 20/10 seasons.

Anyone who scores 60 points against say the Spurs or Celtics would be very challenging, because of the level of defense is incredible.

Scoring 80 points on Matt Bonnar and Araujo with a coach who decides that he will never double team the superstar, the defense was at such a pathetic level that the 81 points really isn't even on the same level as Kobe's 63 point game of the Mavs that was the same year.

I remember telling y'all waay back when that Mike Bibby would be a perfect fit on the Blazers. I still feel that way. Runs the team/break well, while also excelling long range.

... and he's a terrible defender. I think his offensive game would have fit in just fine, but I never really saw him as being a viable missing piece. Andre Miller isn't "The" missing piece either, and frankly I think this team is still about 3 "The" missing piece players away from where they want to be.

I still have some game, but I would have to turn them down. I wouldn't want anybody on here talking shit about me taking away time from LA!

I bet, if you did make the team and they let you pick the music for the warmups, you'd pick this song.

I think Roy is soaking up plenty of those "talking shit minutes" that used to belong to LA lately anyway, you're probably safe.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
HCP playing basketball for the Blazers reminds me of these commercials:
