He says there is no doubt in his mind he will be traded. He has no reference where to go, but i think Danny may already be trying to work something out with the pic situation. Like i said in the topic called "Trade down in the draft?", i think the Celtics will work something out to switch picks. Also, i'm sure the Cs are very interested in Speedy Claxton. So here is what i have come up with:Boston Receives:Speedy ClaxtonJR Smith#15 pick#17 pickNew Orleans Receives:Tony AllenDwayne JonesBrian ScalabrineOrien Greene#7 pickfuture 2nd rd. pick and/or cash.We still may be able to get marcus williams at #15, and we can get Hilton Armstrong, Josh Boone, Cedric Simmons, or Saer Sene at #17.------------------------------------------------Line-ups and reasoningBOSTONDelonte West/Speedy Claxton/Marcus Williams/Dan DickauWally Szcerbiak/JR SmithPaul Pierce/Gerald GreenRyan Gomes/Al Jefferson/(Simmons/Boone?)Kendrick Perkins/Raef LaFrentz/(Armstrong/Sene?)Why?-JR Smith has ALOT of potential. He has poor shot selection, but Paul could teach him a few things and he would become much better.-Duh, Speedy Claxton. 6th man of the year candidate, great playmaker, good scorer, no brainer.-Marcus Williams would be a great pick. He's a pass-first, true PG. He can also hit the deep shot, and he plays big in big games. There might be a log jam at the 1, but Delonte and Speedy can play the 2, and i don't expect Dickau to get much minutes anyways. There was even some talk of him getting cut.-We can address both of our needs in the draft instead of just getting one, especially when we can get the guy we want later in the draft. gives us more depth.NEW ORLEANSChris Paul/Orien GreeneTony Allen/Kirk SnyderDesmond Mason/Rasual ButlerDavid West/Brian ScalabrinePJ Brown/Marc Jackson/Dwayne Jones+ whoever they pick w/ #7. It could be between Tiago Splitter, Patruck O'Bryant, Rajon Rondo, Randy Foye, Rodney Carney, Rudy Gay, and a few others. I think they'll probably pick Foye. If not Foye, then Splitter.Why?-Like i said earlier, they want to get rid of JR Smith. Not a good situation.-Speedy Claxton is a FA, and may leave anyway.-They can get a better player to help them immediately. With a higher pick, of course they are going to get a better player.-I know they had ALOT of interest in Tony Allen last year. They were going to trade Baron Davis for Tony Allen, Gary Payton, and a first rd. pick, but Boston traded that packaage to ATL for 'toine instead ( :no3: ).

Nice work as usual with these trades, I guess it could happen but honestly I don't think he'd help us out that much, we don't need another scoring guard.

99% of your trades don't make much sense and this is another one. I don't think the Hornets would like to trade their 2 mid first rounders and Speedy. Boston doesn't really need any wing players.

I dont think this happens, you get rid of your mistake signing in Scalabrine and are absolutely ripping off New Orleans in terms of what you are getting back..Speedy will get the full MLE, JR Smith is a young player with lots of potential, and those two added draft picks make this laughable...Try to make these trades fair, this is way to one sided..

They don't want Smith anymore. In their eyes he is a lazy underacheiver.Switch the 2nd rd. pick with Cleveland's first next year and i think it's very reasonable.

Well considering he hasn't even posted 100 trades I think you're wrong BCB.

Would love that trade. How is Smith's D? Haven't seen a whole lot of him. I know Allen is def a Byron Scott type of player and they would love the high pick to add more talent, I'd say it would be nice for both teams.

I like Speedy a lot, he would help us... but honestly other than Tony Allen, they recieve a lot of <Censored> for two good players. J.R. Smith wouldn't help us that much, he's selfish on the offensive end and I'm pretty sure he sucks defensively...I could be wrong on that and if I am correct me

he's not very good now, but he has the potential to be a great defender because of his athleticism. His main problem is that he is lazy, but i think Doc could actually help with this. It's one of the only things he does well; he gets his guys to play hard.

I'm not sure Doc could handle motivating JR Smith and Green. They are both very lazy players that rely on their athletic ability to much. But I would love for the C's to get Speedy and the two lower picks.

Gerald Green is NOT lazy. In fact, his work ethic was a strong point this year. Do you really think he could have made that much improvement this year if he didn't have a good work ethic.

Might as well have everyone else going to the Celtics, Speedy Claxton is staying 100 percent.

What would the incentive be for the Hornets to move up for the (possible 7th pick) and lose two very high first round picks in a deep/average draft?

Why would he want to spend the rest of his career backing up chris paul?

You realize we are talking about Speedy Claxton right? A career backup point guard, not some superstar.
