I had a ton of fun watching the US back in... 2000? I think that was the year that they lost to Germany.

Here are the pots the teams will be drawn from:

Pot 1 (seeds): South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England
Pot 2 (Asia, Oceania and North/Central America): Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Mexico, Honduras
Pot 3 (Africa and South America): Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay
Pot 4 (Europe): France, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Serbia, Denmark, Slovakia

The first pot are seeded nations, as they were the top of their qualifying groups (South Africa automatically gets seeded because they're hosting the tournament).

The other pots are sorted by region and each pot hold eight teams. In turn, there will be eight groups labeled A-H.

I couldn't watch the final with France vs Italy last go round because I hated the Italians so much. Bunch of flopping douche bags.

Interesting fact, a European country has never won the World Cup when it has been hosted on another continent.

Isn't Brazil the only team to win it out of their continent (at least before it was held in Korea)?
