And to add, his decision making isn't as good as Rose. Nor is he as strong or as good a finisher. But he's definitely faster with the ball. Wow, just wow.
Most likely, though, the Nets won't get the #1 pick. Even if they finish with the worst record, they have a below 50% chance of getting the top pick. That's what has to suck as a Nets fan...watching all these losses and knowing you're not even likely to get Wall.
No, because his jumper was a lot better in the pros than in Memphis. Also, he made much more better decisions, along with his ability to to read the defenses.
A more interesting prospect is the NYK's getting the #1 pick. That pick is now unprotected and will go to the Jazz. Possibly the worst move I.T. made. It's gotta suck to be a Knick fan. But to get the point, do you take Wall if you are Utah?
When did the Jazz get their unprotected 1st round pick? And if you're Utah, you don't take Wall since you have Deron Williams. You trade that pick and get yourself a better SG or SF.
It's also really interesting because many of the teams in the running for Wall, at this point, already have PGs (Harris, Deron). I think they'll trade Wall for a lot of talent. He'll look good in Minnesota feeding it to Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Corey Brewer and co.
I don't know why the TWolves would trade for him though. They have Flynn, who's a great prospect, and maybe in a couple years they have Rubio since they'll still own his rights. If they get that pick, I think they might move it to get themselves a nice SG or SF prospect since Brewer hasn't looked that good since donning an NBA uniform.
Not only that, but you don't know how good Wall will be in the NBA. He has a lot of potential, but that doesn't always translate to the NBA. Note people like Darko, Bowie, etc.
Flynn is a great prospect, but not enough to trade away John Wall. If anything, they'll trade Flynn away, but they might just go small, or bring in Flynn from the bench. And in regards to Corey Brewer, he's done a decent job this year, hasn't he? I'll be the first to admit i've probably only watched 1 twolves game (when they're not playing thee Bulls, Raptors, or Lakers) in my life.
He's been atrocious on offense - 10.9ppg, 37.7% FG, 17.7% 3PT, 63.6% FT (which has decreased from 80% as a rookie, to 74% last year, down to that this year), and about a 1 to 1 assist to TO ratio (2.2apg to 2.1 TOpg). His defense may be solid, but he's been a joke on offense.
Wall runs faster with the ball than ive seen just about anyone in the NBA except maybe a young Iverson or healthy TJ Ford.
Sprewell used to be a speed demon with the ball. As a Warrior, I remember him at times out-running other guards down the floor while dribbling.
My statement stands . and while we're on the subject, Patrick Patterson looks great out there. DeMarcus Cousins is looking like Zach Randolph.
I love, love, love John Wall's game. I'm already jealous of whomever gets him, he's going to be that good.
