Yes, but he's a human being like Greg. Do people feel bad for Oden as a person? Or merely because of his value to the team?
Also this is very much not the fucking time for a Outlaw versus Greg debate. This is so much bigger than this holy shit.
What really sucks about this is not so much that we'll lose him in the short term but that when he comes back, he'll be behind in his development. Sucks.
Right. People don't care at all when Outlaw goes down. Who cares? But Oden goes down and people's lives are ruined. They're both human beings. Why is one better than the other?
Because one is the starting C, who many believe would lead us to potential titles, and the other is a backup streaky player isn't the key to that.
I'll say this: often what I most looked forward to when watching the Blazers was to see how Oden would improve from game to game. The Chicago game gave me chills.
Because Oden isn't dead you fucking idiot. You are missing chromosomes. I am going to delete this fucking website from my favorites. I said I wouldn't post until Nate was fired or they won the championship but neither one is going to happen so fuck it. Later bitches, I am going to concentrate on cars and music and movies. They don't rip your guts out like this shit does. TOO INVESTED IN THIS SHIT as are most of you.
People care for Travis the person, they expressed regret that he suffered a major injury especially in a contract year for him. But Travis the player is not even 1% as instrumental as Greg to us becoming title contenders. So this is why you see the reaction to Greg so much more emotional and intense: 1. Greg has gone through injuries before. 2. Greg worked his ass off to get through those injuries (not saying Travis isn't) 3. Greg is our best defensive player, and a force on offense. 4. Greg is a great kid who has suffered some really bad emotional and physical bumps and losses in his life. He has come through it all with grace and hard work, and people really feel for him because of all these factors. This is not about Travis Outlaw right now Eric, this is about Greg. Please stop with this asinine comparison - it is not the time.
