I'm still watching every game and pulling for these guys. We can still win games without Oden. Will the traffic on this site be cut in half now? Curious.

I, for one, will not be able to watch the games the same. This team and franchised was hinged on the success of Greg Oden, with him gone for this year, the success will be NULL

I will continue to watch, but with a complete lack of emotion

It'll be busier with trade proposals.

Wait so what happened? Why question who's jumping ship?

Do you really expect your team to go undefeated? You have a young team, which is gaining experience with every game that it plays, you guys need to chill out and enjoy every single game, win or loss, it could be much worse, look what the Nets fans have.

Some people have said they don't care anymore now that Oden is out.

That's just wrong IMO. We Celtics fans had KG out last season, but I could never let myself give up on the team even though we had no chance in the playoffs. (without KG that is)

Portland even without Oden is a damn good team, not ready to win the championship yet though, that'll take another 2 or 3 years. (few additions and more experience for the youngsters)

Without Oden, I'm not sure this will be a championship team (longterm). Oden was the difference maker. He was the ace in the hole. There are quite a few other talented shooting guards out there, there are quite a few talented power forwards, but how many centers are in the league that can do what Greg did? Without him, and who knows long term at this point, the Blazers aren't nearly as dangerous as they once were.

I was around when Telfair, Monia, and Viktor were the future of the team.

Puh-lease. I worry about some of the noobs, however.

    I'm out.

Won't root for another team ever, but I can't take any more Blazer-related depression. Not for a while. This season is like Game 7 but worse, somehow. Even the seasons where we missed the playoffs weren't this painful. But having gone through that, having hit rock bottom, then getting corner-stones for our franchise in shrewd trades, then lucking out on the #1 pick for the "once in a generation"... the constant improvement... only to have our "star" become moody, our Coach expose his ignorance, our role players hurt for extended periods of time and having confirmation that the golden ticket we landed with our 4% chance (or whatever it was) is now suffering his third injury (2nd season ending) in 3 years... but only AFTER he started becoming a BEAST... it's just too much. fuck it. it hurts. I am taking a basketball sabbatical...

I'm totally in and watch as many games as I can, I just can't come on here all the time with all the negativity that flows through here.

    No Way.
It's time for Roy & Aldridge to show their worth those fat paychecks. . .
If they can rise to the occasion, along with the improved play of Bayless, then we can still be competitive.

Otherwise the Basketball gods better let us land John Wall as compensation for this heartbreak. . .

This. It's hard to be positive here, though.

Some might drown though. The ship is damaged and water is seeping in.

What do you mean? If we win the championship this year, it doesn't count?

He grabbed 8.8 rebounds per game. Joel can handle that. He scored 12 ppg. There are other big men who can do that. More touches for LMA and Roy can make up for that loss of scoring. And Joel can make wide open dunks set up by Blake just as well as Oden could.

    It's not like we're losing 25/12/3 or even 12/12/3.
