Marion or Brand

Which is better? Both undersized for the things they do. good defenders and rebounders. I can't decide.

 

this isn't even close, it's brand. marion is a good player, but Brand is on a different level.

 

I would give Brand the slight advantage but Marion is not far off. He has been unbelieveable to Phoenix and arguably the suns best player.

 

Are you kidding? Nash is without question better.

 

Marion is the best rebounder and defender of the suns plus he is just as important to the suns system as Nash. Marion is underrated imo. He was good before Nash as well.

 

Nash leads the team. He is their best player. Just bc Marion could play before Nash came means nothing.

 

It means a lot. Nash made no little difference to Marions play and also, Marion just being in his prime age when Nash came is a big deal. Nash did not make Marion the player he is, he barely even improved him. If anything, Marion and Amare improved Nash's stats. He's just very underrated. If he left the Suns team I GUARENTEE that the Suns will have more trouble than if Nash did.

 

Tim Thomas though was a big addition along with Boris Diaw. They aren't as good as Marion but they do some of the same things. The game wouldn't be the same though. Neither are as athletic as Marion and their helter skeltor style doesn't suit Diaw and Tim Thomas like it does Marion.

 

Tim Thomas does nothing but score. Though i do give him some credit for the 15 rebound game.

 

Well, he's doing a decent job in rebounding and defense now because he is playing for his contract. I kind of hope we don't resign him but he has been great coming in for Kurt and taking away some work from Marion.

 

Definatly Elton Brand, of course Marion will put up better and sexier statistics considering he's a SF, Brand is stricly a PF who does everything a PF should do, play good defense, rebound, and score inside. He has great post moves and jumper and shot 52% which is outstanding. I like Marion but a dependable 22/10 PF like Brand is more valuable.

 

Marion played PF last year and the comparisons were still pretty much the same.

 

Brand plays in the post, anytime you get a player with his ability inside you take it. Marion plays PF on the Suns which is completly different.

 

If Brand always plays down low he should have more rebounds....he doesen't. Marion can do a lot more for you then Brand. I think he's definetly better, but I do like Brand. He was my MVP...And Marion almost has as many blocks too for some that doesen't pla in th epost.

 

Brand is your MVP but you claim Marion is better...when Marion put up 21/12/2/2/1 a game?

I'd actually take Marion. The guy is a complete freak. He can do everything. Shoot, score, play stellar defense, drive, post up, dominate, dunk, pass. The guy is a machine.

 

So are you saying that Marion is better than Dirk than also?
