thats the thing about sports.... hope for next year. thats how i always get by. expectations suck. the surprise (blazers last year) is the best part of sports. following a team when they are down makes winning so much more fun when they get better. thats what makes it worth while. I know people hate this comparasion but the rockets have most of there money on the bench and there doing great. Maybe we can turn still make a good run.
I feel worse...I guess hope doesn't spring eternal for me. I'm feeling resigned to the fact that Oden can't be relied on as a building block and it's going to be a lot harder to seriously contend now that we have to look elsewhere for pieces...
Yo, we're 13-8 (5th best record in the West, 1 game out of 4th), we have the second team All-NBA shooting guard, we have an up and coming #2 pick LaMarcus Aldridge who will show more production with Oden out, and we have enough depth to deal with all these injuries. And as we saw tonight, Miller may turn into our Outlaw off the bench. He showed that he can get his own shot and get to the line at will. We'll either ride that or trade him for a talented forward. We're in fine shape.
I just feel bad for Oden................as fans, we have had much worse years and much worse teams than the guys we have left.
