Kobe to change to #24

According to RealGM.com, Kobe Bryant has informed the league that he will be switching numbers from the #8 he had for 10 years with the Lakers to his former high school number, #24..http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...o_change_to_24/

 

I guess he's doing it so everyone that bought a damn #8 jersey has to go out and buy a new one.

 

that's weird. i don't know why he would suddenly do this. and i could've sworn he was #33 in hs..

He was 33 in high school, this is just some stupid rumor not unlike the millions floating around last year that Kobe would change his number.But this would be crazy, seeing how 42/24 is my lucky number.

He picked 8 because of his # at ABCD camp. His number was 143(1+4+3=8). He should have picked 81.

 

Oh, okay, well I seriously do NOT want this to happen. If it did it would just be to get more jersey sales, and that's stupid. Kobe's at the point where he doesn't need any more money (he's gotta have around 150 million in the bank). Number 8 is his legacy. He's made it famous, anything else just wouldn't be the same.

Im 99 percent sure thats not it....Mike D'Antoni wore 8 in the italian league. He was Kobe's idiol.

No there right. I remember reading it a few times.Its his ABCD camp numbers added.

 

I remember watching a game and hearing the annoucers saying that too.
