Have I mentioned recently that I didn't miss you over the last year while you basically weren't here?

Maybe you didn't voluntarily miss me.

But involuntarily or in your sleep, you did.

No, I don't think so. Generally speaking, I'm in control of whatever emotions causes me to miss someone, and I'm relatively sure I consciously and subconsciously did not miss you.

Generally and relatively are not absolutes.

Denial is always the first stage.

Just looked at my last post...since when was f@g a banned word? Maybe it always has been and I've never used so I wouldn't know.

Anyways...I'm watching the UNC vs. Kentucky game...and John Wall is the real deal. Dude is explosive in the open court and a beast going to the hoop. He reminds me A LOT of Derrick Rose...and depending on who gets the 1st pick, I could easily see him going #1 in the 2010 Draft.

he's a lot more like Dwyane Wade than Rose, but slightly more athletic

Eh, that's kinda one in the same to me. Rose reminds me a lot of DWade too with his aggressive and sometimes reckless play style.

Please note though, I'm not comparing Rose and Wade here. Wade is far better, just saying that Rose reminds me of him.

See, I think Rose is more explosive than Wade or Wall. He definitely gets up quicker than both. But Rose is too submissive at times whereas Wade and Wall just go right at the D constantly, like a motor. I also see a lot of Rondo in Wall's game, with his passing and ridiculous ball speed.

Are we allowed to talk about the Lakers in here? Or is that like, not cool?

Ninth straight win since Gasol returned.

Since there was no thread, I'll just post in here. Glad to see we won again tonight, and did it once again in blowout fashion.

Yeah, don't worry..we get a shit load in the later half of the season. I fucking hate how that is scheduled. It seems to happen every year.

That's because Staples is used for a shitload of things that aren't Laker/Clipper games.

KingSpeed just called Brandon Roy a top 5 talent in the NBA...I now know why I rarely go in to the Blazer forum.

I don't even think he's top 5 potential wise, and he's not even close to an established top 5 player. Personally, I think he's basically hit his ceiling. In my opinion, it wasn't that high coming out of college since he was so polished, and I don't know how much better he can really get.

He can improve defensively, but I think his offensive game is as good as it's going to get. He might add a few moves here and there as his career moves forward, but I don't see him being much more than a 20-24ppg type of guy.

you have to remember though, last year he played excellent basketball at a snale-like pace. i think he can be a top 5 player, but i highly doubt it. In 2-3 years down the road, it'll be like Lebron, Kobe (i think he'll hold himself together), Wade, Durant, and Howard

EDIT: Hell, he might even be out of the top 10 completely.

Roy was not picked 1st overall because of his lack of potential. That's why Aldridge, Thomas and Bargnani were picked ahead of him. No talent wise, no. Potential wise, probably not even close either.
