Oden's injury HAS to be related to last year's chipped kneecap!

Remember when G.O. went down last year just before the All Star Break after bumping knees with Fisher (?). He was diagnosed with a chipped kneecap. Same leg. Same kneecap. At the time I argued they should scope it and remove the chip, but they elected to have the body absorb it. I believe that chip caused a structural defect in the kneecap which eventually caused it to break. I wonder if the Blazers' medical personnel could have recognized the defect had they scoped the chip out in the first place?

I really don't have much faith in the Blazers medical staff. How many times have they messed up now in the past few years? It might be time to change things up.

The two events seem to at least raise the possibility that they are related, but there's really no way to know. As to the competence of the Blazers medical staff ... yeah it's looking harder and harder to either A) trust what they say and B) trust that they will deliver the best possible care and treatment. If KP and Allen are serious about keeping their athletes as healthy as possible it's probably well past time for a review.
