All of a sudden KP's job isn't so cushy.

The downfalls of the "BPA" theory. He just doesn't fit this team.

The silver lining for me is KP has pressure on him, A LOT of pressure, and now he actually has to do actual work and get off his ass and be proactive.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rudy has similar thoughts as well.

Jerryd can demand a trade all he wants (if that's even true), but he's not in a place of power.

So if Roy complains about sharing the ball and playing Miller then it's up to Nate to tell him to get in line and Roy to accept it.

But if Bayless complains about playing time or isn't happy then KP should get his ass on the phone pronto and trade Blake?

it's the downfall of having an assclown for a coach.

Bayless has outplayed Blake since the first preseason game and has been rewarded with a slap in the face.

Bayless is a better player than, and a better fit than Miller.

Miller is just in everybody's way here, and will be retired before we are ready to rule, so he should be traded before anything else occurs with the roster.

J.B. is going to get a chance to play on this road trip (especially with Rudy out) Anybody else notice he was in the Houston game during Crunch Time? They have nothing to lose. Forget winning the division, forget home court advantage, just go out and play - there is literally no pressure. I sort of understood why Blake was playing (at least ahead of Bayless, if not Miller) so much in close games. Blake is pretty reliable with the ball. Even though he can't make plays, he doesn't kill you with mistakes out there, while Bayless can be a carnival act some nights. When you are fighting for a division title & home court advantage every game counts, and the conservative nature of Nate wouldn't let him loosen the leash on Bayless. That has to be over with. We need to see what guys like him, Cunningham, & Pendegraph (when he comes back) have. For that matter, let's tinker with running more and using Rudy & Martell as more than spot up shooters. We can't even trade any of these guys and expect much in return if they aren't showcased. So let's use this season to figure out what we have, and let other teams see what we've thought for 2 years now - we have serious talent on this roster. Let's not start next year like we started this year.

It's time to trade or phase Blake out. Clearly, we aren't going to win titles with him as our starting PG. It's officially time to "Free Bayless" for better or for worse.

well, this request was made before his pt on Saturday, if it happened at all. Hopefully a new role and more time playing will keep him interested in performing for us.

I will say this. Last year when Sergio asked for a trade, for a little while, he got more time. So who knows.
