Meh. Sell high. I think a good reason is our perimiter defense, but I feel like he bails on quite a bit of plays, seemingly out of frustration because he is the "only one trying" on defense. But it's disappointing to just give up lay up after lay up after lay up while he is in there. I don't blame it all on him. I understand it is perimiter defense allowing the penetration. And poor, poor rotations allowing a lot of other problems. Still.
How you can go from one side of the spectrum to the other so fast as a fan in only two weeks is insane. I was so stoked for my Blazers, coming home from work in Australia, I was going to go to a billion and one games.... and spend all my dough... now I will still go, but I'm just plain sad right now.
I think he was just overwhelmed. This wasn't just another game he had to coach last night. It was the game AFTER we lost our franchise center to another year-ending injury. And no Rudy either. That's 20 PPG less than you started Saturday night with. There's just so much negativity surrounding the team right now. Nothing Dean did or said was going to matter last night. Although the Bayless substitution was questionable, it wouldn't have mattered. NY had kicked the lead from 9 back to 15 as Blake came back in the game with (I think) 4 minutes left.
