Give it a shot. It goes both ways. Where did I even post a thing to RR7? Yet he derailed the thread by inaccurately calling me out. He clearly LIED about my position, yet I "instigated" it while having him on ignore for 3 months now.
Miller serves a bigger role than getting us over the top. This teams needs to learn to play with a PG, and Miller is the only one we have. We get rid of him, and we're back to Roy isolation offense, and that will not take us anywhere.
"Roy got what he wanted..." Seems rather vague to me. I'll go on believing that Roy didn't want Oden to get injured. Plus, Roy wants Miller to disappear, at least that's what I've learned from the experts on this board. So, the thread failed twice within the first post.
Why does the team need to learn to play with a PG like Miller? For all of the whining about Roy's iso game, Miller seems just as fond of keeping the ball to himself.
If you actually read the original post, it obviously refers to the fact that the offense was running through him...not that Oden got injured. To help you understand...he says "we're losing"...the losing in question is BEFORE oden was injured. You put up the strawman, not me...
Roy's been putting up "superstar numbers" for 2 games. I guess I don't understand the point of this thread. Perhaps the OP should clarify, since he's the one criticizing Roy.
I think it's less a "Roy wanted Oden injured" than a "be careful what you wish for" (implied Roy wanting more focus of the offense, etc.) . Well, Roy and LMA are going to have all the offense they can deal with, but I don't think it'll be any more successful than it was last year in the HOU series.
I just don't understand the implied negative call out to Roy after a horrendous injury. Says more about the OP than it does anything else, IMO. Plus, Miller is now around to help out on the offensive end, which is actually beneficial now that Oden is lost for the year. Let's see what Andre can do as the 3rd option, and with fewer distributing responsibilities.
Speaking of us now vs. the HOU series, do you personally think Miller will be able to fill the "3rd scorer" role better than Rudy and Travis did in the playoffs? I'm not confident with that, but I'll be watching.
Define "sacrificing ball movement and flow". The Blazers had the 2nd most efficient offense in the NBA last year. Were they "sacrificing ball movement and flow"? Plus, you wanted to meet up for a drink, didn't you? I'll be at The Nines at 5pm tomorrow in the lounge. I'm really this pathetic in person.
Miller played the 2nd scorer well last year versus Orlando. A tighter rotation means more defined roles, which may be a big plus for this team. I'm anxious to see what happens.
Isn't the proper internet protocol to exchange "pix" first, then talk on the phone, and after that we meet for a drink?
