Dana is a liar and he's always wrong, but when he complained about the way that M-1 and their goons do business, maybe there was something to it?

The contract that Emelianenko and Mousasi signed with Strikeforce is such that both of them can be featured on the same show but Mousasi cannot be featured on his own. So, in other words, if Emelianenko is out for an extended period of time for whatever reason, Mousasi cannot defend his LHW belt in the meantime--even against the likes of newly-signed "main eventer" Dan Henderson.

Maybe you can make heads or tails out of that stipulation but I can't. I don't see how it benefits anyone. I don't know if M-1 gets a huge cut of Strikeforce's revenues--does a show featuring both Fedor and Gegard makes more than a show with just Fedor? I guess it all really depends considering they aren't doing PPV so that entire revenue stream is dry. Who knows how much of the advertising revenue CBS generates goes to Strikeforce, or how much the cable giant is paying for that content...

Bloody Elbow suggests that M-1 is trying to extend the amount of time Mousasi is under contract with them by tying him to Fedor, who typically fights only twice a year or less. Because Mousasi is on a #-fight contract, not a time contract, it could mean he is entangled with M-1 for as much as a year or two more. But that is just conjecture.

that's some pretty logical conjuncture by M-1. If Mousais is has any brains, he'll realise that M-1 fucked him over twice now. First by lying about what the UFC offered him when the UFC bought out Affliction and now this.

Lame, M-1 is so fucked up. Oh well, Strikeforce can throw a Jake Shields vs Dan Henderson match in the mean time.
