My whole "Nash as the third option point" wasn't to credit the fact that he never got the ball, which is completely false. It was to discredit some people who said Nash wasn't good in Dallas, and who questioned why he suddenly got better in Phoenix. He was good in Dallas, and because he was granted the leadership role in Phoenix, he thrived
I just find it funny how some people who are now against Nash winning the MVP were previously praising his play and arguing that he was indeed the MVP.

I know Nitro at one point said Nash was one of the top candidates, and now says he isn't deservingPlus a few months ago you said you were wrong about Nash, and he is a great player. Now you say he's simply doing what point guards are supposed to do and doesn't deserve credit.Thats two people
I was in denial about him being a great PG, after watching him play I knew I was wrong. But I still don't think he should be MVP.
Maybe not, and that's fine. It's an opinion. But it's people that say he shouldn't get recognition, and he doesn't deserve it at all that piss me off
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>But it's people that say he shouldn't get recognition, and he doesn't deserve it at all that piss me off</div>Agreed. Maybe Kobe deserved it more but to say Nash winning it is a disgrace is total disrespect.
Exactly. When people say he doesn't deserve it at all it comes off as childish and pathetic. People called John Stockton one of the best PGs ever, and Nash has had comparable seasons to him the last two years. However, when he gets credit for it, they say he doesn't deserve it. Hypocritical anyone?
It is ludacris. PG's have been putting up Steve Nash numbers for a long time and many of them got no recognition. So now Nash leads a run and gun team that will again do nothing in the playoffs. It's a joke.
Give me another PG who averages 19 and 10 on 50% shooting and leads his team to the success Phoenix has had.And again, it's season by season. Whenever stocktona veraged 13 assists, 15 points, someone did better. When Payton averaged 24 and 9, someone did better. It's season by season

Look, Nash is great, but how many sides of the ball does he play on? One.Look at the other candidates:-LeBron James: Something like 2 SPG if I'm not mistaken, average defender-Chauncey Billups: Always a good defender-Dirk Nowitzki: Worked very hard on his defense, and is possibly one of the best defenders in the league when it comes to guarding the pick-and-roll, and sometimes even the perimeterAlso, Nash had an All-Star right next to him!!The biggest talent/MVP game between the MVP of his team and the next best player on the team belongs to Kobe and Dirk.Kobe's next best guy is Odom (or Walton), and Dirk's next best is Terry.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Give me another PG who averages 19 and 10 on 50% shooting and leads his team to the success Phoenix has had.</div>That remains to be determined. He's had only 1 year of playoff run with them and they went to the WCF and lost. Something he did with Dallas a couple years ago and I heard not a peep. What pisses me off is why these Suns are media darlings when their basically the Mavs of yesteryear who got dogged for their style by everyone, and all of a sudden it's cool and Nash is getting MVP honors. On this year, the Nash led Suns could be out in the first round. So who knows. Unless you determine success on regular season, I don't because if you don't perform in the playoffs, what's the point.

They were 29-53 in '03-04, and when Nash was brought in for the '04-05 season he led them to a 62-20 record. That is a 33 game turnaround. This year he and the Suns are getting so much praise because nobody expected them to do this well after losing Amare, Q-Rich and JJ.

Something that wasn't even spoken of when Dallas was a top 4 team playing the same style. I rarely hear about the Suns defense on telecasts. Dallas who has adjusted to more traditional playoff style is still below Suns on how media views them in terms of gushy gushy lovefest. Now I don't want that mushy sh*t, I'll take the below the radar underdogs, but it just shows how media is in the NBA.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nah, look at his sig, he is a homer.</div>Lol, or just notice the name and there you go.
