I'm really interested in seeing how Wesley Matthews goes up against Kobe, assuming he guards him. That kid is a big part of the reason Utah are playing well as of late, he's doing a great job defensively. To the point that he's starting and regarded as Utah's best defender, not bad for a an undrafted rookie. I'm not expecting him to stop Kobe by any means, but there's no better test than going up against the best.
Holy shit dude We played terrible basketball in the first half and trailed at halftime. Then the lightbulb went on after the break and we roared back. Our defense was amazing, we held them to 6 points in the 4th quarter and ended up with a blowout victory plus tacos.
hahaha, i love when we beat utah, just to know that their fans are sitting around in utah fuming that that we beat them again, they are deffinately the most terrible fans in the nba.
The Lakers held Utah to 6 points in the 4th quarter last night. I think Utah had a span of 14 straight missed shots? If Utah wasn't killing us on the glass all game long this would have been even more lopsided. Lakers defense in the 4th quarter was exceptional. Reminded me of those Jordan Championship teams when they'd just put the clamps on a team and go on double digit runs to put games out of reach. The Lakers have been executing their traps with Artest out there and two 7 footers patrolling the paint. I wonder how Deron felt when he was back alone with Kobe and Shan-Wow coming at him on a fastbreak. In case you missed it
If we can play defense the way we've been playing this season, we're going to be tough to beat. Seeing games like this gives the utmost confidence that we'll be just as dominant on the road as we have been at home. And I imagine Deron felt relatively helpless. I don't know why he even bothered trying.
