The good news is that we are in striking distance (Two points for Eighth, Six for the Central). Homer has 11 goals, and Zetterberg has 10, but Dats needs to step his game up. He has 14 assist, but I suspect thats because Homer is tapping those in. Ozzie and Howard better start stopping the puck!
FWIW, 4 of the teams below Detroit in the standings were also in the playoffs last year. Kind of emphasizes how early it is. That said, I do think the Red Wings have been playing with fire on the whole goaltending issue for a while now. It is true that Osgood tends to show up every year for the playoffs, but can they really keep depending on that year after year? What's your evaluation of Howard been, Frame?
Losing Hossa shuldnt be this big of a deal. We have Dats and Zetterberg... And I havnt watched alot of Howard, but he looks decent. Its early, we just need a good run and I then I can laugh at this thread.
