How about trading for Golden State's Anthony Randolph? He can play the 4 and 5, and is young and athletic. He absolutely tore it up in summer league and Team USA camp, and his per minute numbers this year are scary. Better yet, he is always in crazy-ass Don Nelson's dog house, so maybe we could actually pry him away. It would balance out the roster this year, AND he would fit right in with our core guys in the future. KP, get it done!! Thoughts?

Good question. I'm not much of a trade machine guy....Randolph just seems like a guy KP should be all over.

If you haven't noticed, Golden State pretty much has said he's untouchable if they aren't getting an Amare or crazy talented player. So I don't see it anything short of Roy, so dream on.

Really? I honestly hadn't noticed. I just assumed it may be possible since they barely play him.

Rudy or Bayless straight up would work.

I like it. The two prospects I've kept an eye on since last year are A. Randolph and Beasley.

Randolph is 7'0" with a very high ceiling. As he gets bigger I think he'll eventually be strictly a PF.

They value him very highly and I don't think they'd have any interest whatsoever in Rudy when they have Morrow.

The same can be said about Bayless when they already have Ellis and Curry.

It'll be extremely tough, if not impossible, to get him out of GS.

Nellie doesn't want to play him against starting C's because he doesn't want to ruin his confidence....ya, he's old and senile.

Not playing him despite his production should do wonders for his confidence!

To have a chance I think it will have to be a three-way where GS gets back somebody they actually want/need.

he measured 6'9 barefoot at the combine. His measurements revealed a frame just a shade smaller then LA's.

I was a lonely voice here advocating drafting him at #13... I agree with you (and others) that he's now nearly untouchable. Dude was the youngest player in the league last year and has tremendous upside.

Crap...I didn't realize he would be so difficult to get. oh well. Man considering they aren't competing for a title anytime soon, they should really consider giving him some run!

My guess is that Nelson is trying to impress on him the value of focusing on Big man stuff (boards, setting picks, post position) over ball handling and shooting jumpers. I'd expect that it's only a matter of time before he's averaging big minutes this season. I'm keeping an eye out for this expected bump in his role for a fantasy hoops pickup :nerd:

I think Randolf would thrive on an up-tempo team.

I also think Portland would be the worst thing to happen to the kid if he came here. Portland would absolutely waste his abilities.

    Sad but true.

Maybe a more realistic option would be Tyrus Thomas. He really came on in the 2nd half last year. I know trading for a injured guy is kinda crazy but he'll be back soon and I think this may be a nice buy-low time to get him.

Check it out: maybe getting Randolph isn't such a long shot after all:
