I like the idea of a smaller, updated Coliseum for hockey. Mch like AAA baseball, it's a much better experience in a smaller, full venue.
All I know is that after seeing the Glass Palace with the curtains pulled back for the Phoenix game in pre-season is that they should completely remove them altogether. It looked phenomenal and actually made me think of it as a piece of architecture and not just a run down dump.
I'm not interested in public financing of any remodeling of Memorial Coliseum... I have no idea how they intend to finance it, if they want to put their own money up, go for it.
Considering the city owns the MC, I highly doubt there would be no city $, but it'd probably be urban renewal $.
Yeah, I know...just this whole idea of "revitalizing" that area into some sort of "Downtown Disney" hot spot seems idiotic... and having to renovate that piece of crap arena just because some architects got angry gets me grouchy every time I think about it.
And not a single rendering yet. Btw, for those who don't know the history behind "jumptown" here is a link
An even better link! (thanks for the heads up, I have already put it on hold at the library.) https://catalog.multcolib.org/searc...g=jumptown&SORT=D&searchscope=1&submit=Search
