First thing I thought of. Wasn't there a riot at a Cleveland Indians game awhile back when they had an unlimited dollar beer promo?
Yea I started thinking about this after I posted it up. Is it really a good idea to get say, 5,000 extra fans to come to the game and get really shit faced when your team isn't playing well?
The last gasp of a dying franchise. This move is usually reserved for AAA baseball and minor league socker franchises
Lol- some of you guys are so funny. Complain about the expense of going to the game, yet when they bring out the dollar beers its a travesty.... All can be avoided with proper alcohol monitoring by the staff. I don't see an issue, in fact, I wish Rose Garden would do something like this, either with beer or food.
Kansas City Kings They have a brand new arena that's waiting for a team. It'll be a long time before Seattles gets their shit together to get an arena built.
It's a smart idea. Servers have the right to refuse anyone who is intoxicated from buying a beer. Whatever you can do to bring in the fans.
They need a combo promotion. $1 beer. Free baseball bats to the first thousand customers. 1/2 price tickets for anybody riding a Harley. They could sell that on PPV!
