Don't rush him back, a torn labrum is major surgery and even though he might feel like his shoulder doesn't hurt anymore, it still needs time o heal properly. Webster thought he ankle was good because it didn't hurt anymore but it didn't fully heal and you saw what happened, he re-injured it FIRST game back. Same thing with Blake last season when he rushed back then re-injured his shoulder the FIRST game back. Let Batum have a FULL recovery and lets see him healthy next season, he is still young.

I was talking to one of my friends and he said this was the timetable all along. So I may have been way off base with my post.

Well at least he's on target and hasn't suffered any setbacks to date. I'm really excited to see what Nic can provide when he comes back.

I am too. I was really excited when Nic took over for Tony Parker at PG while he was out, and performed very well in the Euro tourney. He was showing the kind of confidence we need in a SF.

If I'm Batum, I add a month to whatever the Blazer docs say is a safe return date. Or, there's always the option of coming back early and suffering a proper season-ending injury like the rest of his teammates.

“I'm on time, even ahead of schedule. If it continues like this, I will be able to come back in February, just after the All-Star break. That will give me 30 games to play. I'm getting ready to play a “Pro A” season, two and a half months.”

Regarding future competitions with France: “It won't be so easy in the future. The World Championships (2010 in Turkey) should be fine, but Euro 2011, maybe not.”

We really miss him! He really was be far and away our best wing defender..I just hope we don't rush him back and keep his minutes light when/if he does play this year.

Jameer Nelson came back from his injury faster than expected last year. Perhaps there is hope it will happen, and turn out ok with out re-injury.
