Yeah but the Grizzlies already have plenty of swingmen. Why draft AK?Add depth to the frontcourt with EB. Run EB at the 4 and Pau at 5.

AK isnt a swingman. He's a SF/PF. He could start at SF, Miller could start at sg and Battier could come off the bench.

Eddie Jones could be traded, Hakim Warrick could be 7th man.

This is supposed to be, who you would pick if these players were in the draft today.

Pau Gasol can play C easily. So can Elton. I would much rather take Brand than AK.And no way would Memphis trade Eddie Jones. He's their leader.

AK-47 over Brand is absurd. I think he overrated. He can fill up a box score that is for sure, he is just not a superstar player. He cannot carry a team.

exactly. people take a lood at his stats and overrate him. He's hardly noticeable in the game. yeah, he's a good defender, but Brand is also a very good shotblokcer, and he's dominant. He's one of the most consistent forces in the league, he's been putting up 20/10 for years now.

I really dont see how it's absurd. Neither Brand or Gasol can play center.AK47 is arguale the most versatile player in the NBA. He can shoot it longrange, post up, tip it in, drive, get points off of rebounds. He can score anyway. Just he isnt very selfish. He could be scoring 22-26 ppg if he wanted to. He is also a top notch defender. He is so lanky. He is a superb shotlocker and 1 on 1 defender. He can play oth PF and SF by the way but maybe you are right that it was a bad pick. Let it go.

You can't build a franchise around an injury-prone, weak player that can't even score in the 20's. With Brand, you get atleast 20/10/2 just about every night. He is a dominant force.

I'll end this debate right here. Best player available theory. Brand is proving he can carry a team. He can score, rebound, and pass night in and night out. AK-47 is streaky. Pau and Brand would make for a sick duo.

Really? I dont really follow the Grizzlies but he seems like a twig to me. Im surprised that he can hold up at Center. If he can play center then you guys are right, Gasol goes at PF.

Well, both of them can play Center. Brand shifts to the C slot when Rad Vlad comes in for Kaman. Pau is starting at C w/ Hakim Warrick at PF.

I doubt any of them could start at center. Brand is a modest 6"8 or 6"9 and Pau is really skinny.
