After a dissapointing season, I think the Warriors need to make some major offseason moves.First off, I would trade Baron Davis for a low-post player. I would also package him with Troy Murphy. Someone like Bosh, KG, or Jermaine O'Neal. There have also been speculations of Richardson, Murphy, and Fisher for Jermaine O'Neal and Steven Jackson. I would definatly not do that. Jason Richardson is the heart of this team and plays 100% no matter what, even when injured. If we traded him the team would fall apart. If we did trade Baron, it would be great to let Monta Ellis step up and start after he showed his skill last season. He is going to be a very good player in the near future. Along with trading Baron and Murphy, we should trade Pietrus. He is a good player, but has terrible fundementals and no basketball IQ. He also throws up bad shots. He really reminds me of a young Steven Jackson, and that isn't very pretty.A lot of you are probably thinking, trade Baron?!?!?! No Way!My answer is simple, Mullin has said Montgomery will be the coach of the Warriors. I love Monty, he coached at my hometown Stanford for years, but he isn't a great NBA coach. Baron needs a great coach to push him to be the best. Monty won't be able to do that. So, I would trade him and use Ellis at PG so Montgomery can mold him into the type of player he needs at PG. Teaming Richardson and a low post presence like KG would be awesome to watch.Another conrtoversial thing that I haven't said yet is keeping Dunleavy. He had a bad year, everyone has bad years. He got a big contract this offseason and you look to him as a scapegoat for not performing up to your expectations. But he did shine a bit this past season. He single handedly held Lebron to 14 points, which is impressive. As for the draft, we are set for our future in the frontcourt with Ike Diogu and Andris Biedrins and the player we trade for, if we do trade for one. Mullin already said he would make a strong push to get Jermaine O'Neal, so I think we will get him. But at SF we are a bit shakey. We will need someone to back up Dunleavy if we ship off Pietrus. If Rudy Gay could fall to us, snatch him up. He has loads of potential and raw talent. He is already a freak athlete and would fit well into our young team.

Awesome post. I can see you know this team very well.I wouldn't trade Pietrus yet. He still has loads of potential. Yes his basketball IQ is small right now but it will grow after he has a few seasons under his belt.

i definitely agree that they need to trade Baron Davis. He has a piss-poor attitude, and Monta Ellis is on the rise. I'll think of a realistic trade later then post it.

here it is:GSW Receives:Zaza PachuliaJosh ChildressTyrone LueMo Taylor#4 pick (ATL)#20 pick (NYK via DEN)Future 2nd rd pick (NYK)GSW Trades:Baron DavisMike DunleavyZarko Cabarkaba#8 pickAtlanta Receives:Baron DavisZarko CabarkabaAtlanta Trades:Zaza PachuliaJosh ChildressTyrone Lue#4 pickNew York Receives:Mike Dunleavy#8 pickNew York Trades:Mo Taylor#20 pick (via DEN)Future 2nd rd. pick(ALT: GSW sends Adonal Foyle to NYK instead of Mike Dunleavy, but i didn't think that would be possible.)------------------------------------------------line-ups and reasoning:GSWDerek Fisher/Monta Ellis/Aaron MilesJason Richardson/Rudy GayMickael Pietrus/Josh ChildressTroy Murphy/Andris Biedrins/Chris TaftZaza Pachulia/Josh Boone/Adonal Foyle*Golden State drafts Rudy Gay with the #4 pick.*Golden State drafts Josh Boone with the #20 pick.Why?-Getting rid of Baron and his attitude.-Mo Taylor is almost $10 mill coming off the books next summer.-Josh Childress is a promising young player. He plays well on both ends.-They get Rudy Gay in the draft, he is perfect for this team. Athletic out the ass, runs the floor well, incredibly skilled. He and JRich will be VERY dangerous on the wings in a few years.-Josh Boone is also a good fit. He runs the floor well, and he's a very good shotblocker.-Zaza Pachulia is the perfect dirty work guy. He does so well on the offensive glass. He shoots decently, he can be a double-double threat.ATLANTABaron Davis/Royal IveyJoe Johnson/Salim Stoudamire/Donta SmithJosh Smith/PJ TuckerMarvin Williams/Estaban BatistaNene Hilario/Zarko Cabarkaba*Altanta drafts PJ Tucker with the #33 pick.*Atlanta signs Nene Hilario.Why?-They finally get a true PG to run the show. Davis can push it and help this team put alot more points on the board.-PJ Tucker is a great rebounder despite his size. He is durable.-Zarko has some potential to be a pretty good player.-You're probably thinking "why the hell would ATL give up their top 5 pick?". Well, their main weakness is PG right now, and Baron Davis will fill that better than any of the pg's in the draft.-They sign Nene, simply bc they have more money to throw at him. I know the ATL GM is cheap, but he might be willing to do this, as the hawks might be in playoff contention with this new line-up.NEW YORKStephon Marbury/Nate RobinsonJamal Crawford/Steve FrancisMike Dunleavy/Quentin RichardsonChanning Frye/David LeeEddy Curry/Tiago Splitter*New York drafts Tiago Splitter with the #8 pick.Why?-Mike Dunleavy is unselfish and a good defender. He's Larry Brown's type of player.-They move up in the draft to snag Tiago Splitter, who is known for being the best interior defender in the eastern hemisphere. great pick by the knicks.
