These last two week have been bullshit! Last week if I win I control my own destiny. Going into MNF I had Greg Jennings and Mason, my opponent had Heap. I was down approx 4 before the game started. With Jennings only getting yards and Mason only catching 13 yards I managed to have about a one point lead late in the game.....Todd Heap catches a 11 yard pass a midfield down by 14 at midfield...I fucking lose ...by under three yards....oh btw Philly gave up their only TD on the final play of the game....that really sucks Week 14, I had to win and have another team lose to make the playoffs. The other team is going to lose...I have the third most points this week, problem is Im facing a guy with the most points... Ryan Grant, Andre Johnson, DeSean Jackson.....Jesus Christ (yeah I think he scored too) Season over...fuck this shit
I would say I know how you feel.. But I don't. I'm 11-2 (Best record in league) and I just won 180 to 77.5 this week.
eh, it happens to everyone. last season i had the best team in my league. my team had the most total points. my team also gave up the most total points. i finished 7-6 and just barely got into the playoffs. first round of the playoffs i have a big lead going into the monday night game. antonio bryant blows up for a massive week to take me out of the playoffs.
in one of my leagues i have andre and chris johnson, brees and brandon marshall. needless to say i won easily, sadly though i play the same guy next week in the first week of playoffs and will probably be bounced after going 12-2 on the season.
I feel your pain, but my undoing has been my own coaching idiocy. I have Roethisberger, Warner and Campbell at QB and NOT ONCE in the past 10 weeks have I picked the high scorer for QB. Six times, picking the right QB meant the difference between a win and a loss. This week, I pick Big Ben, who puts up a giant 8 freaking points. Furthermore, my other two choices--Julius Jones vs. Reggie Bush and Jeremy Shockey vs. Fred Davis--are the wrong ones. Both Jones and Shockey score one point each. Bush puts up 14 and Davis puts up 16. My opponent, on the other hand, has Tony Romo, who passes for a TD with 2 seconds left. He wins 76-73. If I make ANY of those choices properly, I win. Oh, well. There's always next year.
Week 1, I lost my game by one point. I knew right then that it was going to end up fucking me. It did. Ended up 8-6, but didn't crack the top 4 because the other 8-6 guy had more total points than me.
