All our guys felt it was off a Bux player, but I honestly had 6 angles of it. 3 showed it pretty clear. I think Moute' hit LA's hand into the ball then it went out. LA had a black sleeve on so it was pretty easy to tell.
I wasn't in the truck but it seemed to me in live action and on replay that the Bucks player caused the ball to go out, but LaMarcus' hand was probably the last to actually touch the ball. In practice however, the Bucks player hitting the ball out and possibly hitting LaMarcus' hand as he was causing the ball to go out of bounds, I honestly feel it should have been Portland's ball. I can't count how many times I've played where the exact same thing has happened, and the ball is always ruled out off the guy who knocked it out, even when the other player may have been in contact last. Plus the fact it was not conclusive enough to warrant overruling the call on the court.
It's whoever touched it last. Other wise when you see a player throw it off another's leg, the throw caused it to go out of bounds not the player that the throw hit it would go to the team that touched it last.
It was clear. LMA hit it last. Not sure why that was hard to tell. Take the homer glasses off for a second. I had to.
Well I thought, changing the call was stupid, but was indeed the right call and should have been the initial call on the floor. Mbah a moute knocked the ball out of his hand, but in grasping for the ball, LMA's hand was the last to touch it. Just a frustrating turn of events in a close game.
From Wikipedia: On January 12, 2009, Curry was sued by his former chauffeur, David Kuchinsky. Kuchinsky accused Curry of trying to solicit gay sex from him. According to court papers, Curry repeatedly approached Kuchinsky "in the nude," saying, "Look at me, Dave, look" and, "Come and touch it, Dave." The Manhattan federal court suit also stated that Curry made Kuchinsky perform "humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [into which Curry had ejaculated] so that his wife would not see them." Kuchinsky also said Curry called him racial slurs, including "f- - - ing Jew," "cracker," "white slave," "white devil" and "grandmaster of the KKK." Now look at the title of the thread - get it now? And BTW DaRizzle, you beat me to it, I was going to post "why does the title of this thread remind me of Eddie Curry?"
I do think LA touched the ball last. If you watch the replay, look at the spin of the ball. LA's hand was moving one direction, Mbah's was moving another, the spin on the ball was consistent with LA touching it. All that said, I HATE replays that are so inconclusive. It seems a lot of times replay violates the spirit of games, even if it follows the letter of the rules...on a total tangent, I most hate replays in football regarding fumbles. Hang onto the damn ball until the play is over...just because a knee might barely have begun touching the ground at the exact moment the ball popped out, the spirit of the game is to hang onto the damn ball...if you drop it that close to being a fumble, it's a fumble...grrrr...
The ball was knocked out of LA's hands out of bounds and that is always given to the team that had the ball. It's not the same as if he knocked it out of his hands onto his leg and out. Should have been Portland's ball.
