I am at work and can't play those video's (just being cautious). I'll watch it tonight. Also, when I posted to blazer hippie that I loved his avatar, of course that sig of yours will live in infamy.

    i will say this...

    1. i know how ya feel bro. i use to look so forward to games wether taped or live. couldn't wait cause i knew we had a great chance to win. even if we lost it was fun. they were fun to watch. seeing our young guys get better like oden or rudy... etc. now thats all gone. its like watching roy take bad shots and blake miss wide open threes. its the fact that i feel like we cant even compete vs good teams.... maybe not vs decent teams like the bucks.

    2. posters like old man grouch can go watch other teams but please dont hurry back if and when we start winning. i mean if you cant suffer through bad times and make excuses... then just go. nobody will miss you. Even magnafier... who i always liked... dude was posting about 50 a day and as soon as we started losing... buh bye. Maybe he's busy so i will give the benefit of the doubt but man its one hell of a coincidence. Someone made a post about this bandwagon sh!t ... and its annoying. If we start winning... all will come back but we know who ran away like a coward cause things weren't right. You always "finish the game."

    3. Im hurt about this team. Don't know how such a good thing got so bad so quick. It realy has depressed me to no end. Thinking our season is over in December is beyond horrible. Which it is. Ya know that loss to the bucks really bothered me. It hurt bad for some reason. Everything about this damn season hurts but ya know what... i never bail on my fucking team. I will watch every game even if we get blown out. I know this season can be saved with the right trade but I also know dick(kp)head wont make a trade cause he's scared and has no guts. But if i can sit through the bills season... i can sit through the blazers for sure.

    4. just hope Kp deals... i think if he could get us a butler or gay type... we would make the playoffs easily. Im not holding my breath.

I guess I was more talking about the amazing play then the amazing game though my examples didn't really explain that well.

I have such an emotional investment in this team, I'd watch them even if they didn't win another game this season. I have been following the team since I can remember, win or lose it doesn't faze my fandom.

Am I missing something? Last year was "fun" for you? Who was the guy that said The Blazers had NO chance of making the playoffs with Batum and his 5.4 PPG at starting SF? And then angrily vowed if they DID make the playoffs he wouldn't post until the following season?

Mixum, for all the flack he gets, is a true fan. He just reacts differently then most do to problems. My guess is that he considers himself a realist, and doesn't want to get too excited if it's just going to mean a huge crash if things go bad. If you expect (and predict) the worst, then you only get bonuses in life. This is not how I live, because I believe that thinking positive is good for your psyche, but I understand the perspective.

One thing that I do respect Mixum for, is that he is resilient. Posters attack him outright all the time, and he does not bite on the bait they lay out.

His views do get on my nerves also from time to time, but I stop getting annoyed if I just think of him as "crazy uncle Mixum". I just wish that he would stop and smell the flowers every once in a while when things are going well, and not just worry about how the good times are going to come to an end.

Mixum, I hope I did not offend you by analyzing you, and feel free to correct me if I completely screwed up.

Posters like you are a reason he's still around. You by into his bait and actually take him seriously. He's a gimmick poster, always has been and always will be.

Exactly, his shit-stirring is a gimmick. He can find the negatives in any situation and is full of hyperbole. I've posted on the same boards long enough to fully understand his schtick. He's like that little brother who will do anything to warrant a reaction. I don't think I ever see him respond to a post when someone takes issue with something he says. He shits all over the board and then lets it marinate and then awhile later, shits all over the board again.

depends on what you mean by gimmick...there is truth in what he writes, he just has a way of making you want to punch him in the face....because he plays devils advocate and when he makes you think about things you dont want to focus on that are sub par about the team it makes you go nuts....and right before you tell him off in the back of your head is a little voice saying "You know, he does have a point"...but you tell him off anyways because of HOW he relayed his thoughts.

    You know its true :devilwink:
