how quickly things can change and if I remember correctly wasn't DJ the guy KP really wanted when we drafted Bayless? Perhaps try to buy him low? or just forget it? http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63261/20091207/brown_explains_augustins_lack_of_time/
Yea, I thought they would have started to transition to DJ as a starter simply since Felton didn't resign this summer and was asking for ridiculous cash. I'd explore a trade if I were KP. Although if he's having problems under Larry Brown, playing for Nate isn't exactly going to let his PG game flourish.
I'm pretty sure you're not remembering things correctly. Maybe DJ was the guy that KP wanted, but he never made such a statement publicly. He did say nice things about him especially following his PDX workout, but he does that with pretty much every kid he has in. I'd guess that you're confusing rampant speculation here on the board with his intentions. btw... Raymond Felton has been playing very well lately which probably has a lot to do with DJ's pine time. He's a better shooter/scorer then DJ and with additional ballhandlers/playmakers Boris and now Jackson in the lineup, is probably the better fit. STOMP
Yes, note the extreme role reversal in 3 pt shooting percentage this yr vs last with those two guys - amazing. They said Felts couldn't shoot a lick - amazing what those contract years can do! LOL
Bayless is a tough determined hombre. Have you ever seen a 20-year old player look so pissed sitting on the bench? I'd stick with him for a while and see how he turns out.
