Looks like Oregon State is about to open @ TCU to start the 2010 College Football Season.. They already have a game vs. Boise State also.

    Absolutely insane.

Much respect for the Beavers. And I thought that Oregon scheduling Utah/Boise State was hard... @TCU and @BSU is not going to be a fun way to start off the year.

I'd like to see how Oregon State could do if they didn't always get off to slow starts. Such a tough schedule won't help that.

Good for Oregon State. If they want to take that next step up--from getting West Coast respect to getting National respect--they're going to have to make their schedule brutal.

Yeah the JV teams TCU Boise etc... really get up for that first game against the big boys and they typically catch them off guard. If the non-conference games were played at the end of the year I think it would be a different story. They are hard teams to schedule and I think a lot of teams won't touch them because it really is a big risk little reward situation. I despise watching games at Boise State because it is very hard to see the action.

Hmm, I wouldn't call them JV Teams at all. BSU and TCU are extremely good this year. I'd say TCU is a top 2 or 3 team actually. I think you could count on one hand the amount of teams that could go into Boise or TCU and win.

Utah beat Alabama in last year's Sugar Bowl. BSU beat Oklahoma a few years ago, and so on. I've really been impressed with some of the mid-majors recently.

There is definitely a good amount of parity going on in college football.

    GO BEAVS!

Losing Canfield, Kavanaugh, Kristick, etc. will hurt... but we'll still have the Rodgers duo! Hopefully someone steps in for Canfield and is effective. There is still a small chance Moevao gets another year of elgibility.

Yeah, starting a new QB in Riley's system will be no fun at all. I know they wanted to get something in for the Rodgers to return home, but I'd rather we dropped Boise St in that case.

Next year could be a brutal first half. Survive and we'll flourish. Fail and it will be miserable. For 3-4 weeks.

pretty much the best way to get some love in the standings is by beating good teams.

If the Rodgers brothers are healthy we can beat anybody. The QB will not be expected to do too much. The important thing will be for Paea to be back for his senior season. The Beavs are going to be tough next year.
