ugh just woke up worked all day and night yesterday. NICE WIN!! i was hoping for something like this, do or die time the rest of the way out, AND we need help from the cardinals to make it, but yeah, 9-7 would be great.

Next weeks game is the real test if SF is ready to be a wild card. The next two opponents are much easier.
I missed last nights game. Kinda mad at myself.

basically we have to win out and hope the cards only go 1-2. or we can go 2-1 and the cards go 0-3. only two scenarios.

I would have been more excited for this victory if the 49ers had beat Seattle last week. The defense kicked Arizona in the mouth last night and Frank Gore was unbelievable running the ball. I'm still nervous every time Alex Smith drops back to pass.

The two losses that altered the season was the loss to Minnesota and last week. Hard to see the 49ers winning next week in Philly, but if we can and close out the season strong against St. Louis and Detroit we have a slim chance of winning the division and making the playoffs.

Realistically we finish the year at 8-8 with hope for taking a big step next season. It's all going to hinge on Alex Smith's development during the off season.

The Cardinals have to go through us ;) I didn't see the game but I heard it was pretty good.

Yeah the Cardinals and Packers could end up playing each other back to back.

if we end up with say...the 7th and 14th pick, would you want to stick with alex smith or draft a qb if one falls to us? i think we would be lucky to land a top OL prospect, and maybe berry or mays.

I'd like to stick with Alex Smith at this point. He's finally healthy and he's developing chemistry with Davis & Crabtree. If he can have a productive offseason he could have a quick turnaround similar to Aaron Rodgers in Greenbay.

I agree we need to address the OL position. Not much depth at left tackle which is arguably the most important position in the game.

49ers really need some weapons in their kick/punt return game.

Yeah your situation sounds like ours. Weapons in Special Teams is ideal in the modern NFL. I havn't watched to much College ball but when the bowl games start and the senior game then I'll pay attention to see who to draft.
