Can history be made in South Africa?

    In terms of history being made, I think there are three options.

    1. Host South Africa doesn't make it out of group play.
    2. A European team (Spain) wins outside of Europe.
    3. A team from Africa, Asia, or North America wins.

    That's the order of likelihood for me. I can see the first two happening, while I wouldn't put it past the Ivory Coast to catch fire and run through to the championship. Despite that, I still have South Africa qualifying and Brazil winning.
